Debate Over: Drake Maye can’t hold Josh Allen’s jockstrap

But here are facts:  Pats scored just 7 in wnd half.  Gifted 7 in 1st half, by no replay assist on an obvious incomplete 3rd and long.  Then to top it off, Maye had 2 drives to potentially win it and fell flat.  7 plays, 2 yards on 2 drives in clutch time 

 

Maye is a good QB, but he isnt even Herbert level, and people comparing him to Josh is just crazy.  Thats Pats fans dreaming

If there is a QB you would compare him to you would compare him to Josh Allen..given his size, ability to run and throw. Man you don't watch.

 

He’s Temu Josh at best.

 

He’s playing for an experienced HC and for one of the best OCs in football, so his growth has accelerated.  Josh did not have that in Year 2.  Everyone looked at him like, holy crap, imagine what he can be when he learns how to play.  Maye knows a lot more about how to play than Josh did then.  It’s entirely possible that, like Justin Herbert, this is just what Drake Maye is and what he will be going forward, whether or not they get better players around him.  And THAT is what nags at the psyche of Pats fans.

I meant in style not accomplishments thats varies for all ..  90% of all QBs will never come close to Brady accomplishments. Maye has played great but he still has a lot to learn and I THINK he will only get better especially if McDaniels stays as his OC for a long time.. a good OC helps any QB develop.. i think he will be top 5 QB.. I could be wrong but he really hasn’t given us fans any reason to think otherwise. FYI I have said numerous places I don’t think he is as good as Allen now, nor should he.. Allen is a super talented Vet who has been through a lot.. He should be better and is!

This is more of a general comment I don’t mean to say this is gonna happen to Drake.  But players getting better every single year is pretty much a myth…it very often does not happen that way. A lot of guys DCs pick up on their tendencies and they flame out after a big year+ 

 

The cesspool of social media isn’t helping here haha I saw a lot of ‘drake maye is better than Josh Allen’ takes all week 😂. Could’ve been more clickbait than anything though idk if people actually believed it

So a +1 in point differential and it’s not even close.. the rubber match would be fun because Cook will be contained and Allen will have to be Superman again to win because Cook isn’t running for over 50 yards never mind a 100 with Williams back..  Yes the Bills don’t win because of Allen they win because of Cook this year ..
