Allen clearly viewed the Victory as a career moment.  He held onto the football from the last snap all the way through the handshakes. Obviously he cherishes beating Burrow and the importance of the moment.

I actually had a conversation with my brother about the Bills having had issues slaying a few dragons.  The Chiefs in the playoffs, Houston at Houston and the Bengals.  Yesterday, the Bills slayed one of those demons, I think that is potentially significant.   I have a feeling the Bills will be playing Houston at some point this year in the playoffs.

I believe he gave the ball away to a young fan in the tunnel, so not quite sure he cherished it that much

I guess put me in the camp that never really believed we had a problem against the Bengals in the same way. Are their receivers a tough matchup for our corners? Yes, and for EVERY other set of corners in the NFL. Tee Higgins would be a #1 on over half the NFL rosters and Chase is the 1st or 2nd best receiver in football.

The Hamlin game they marched down the field, then a bit like last night so did we, but we stalled out in the redzone and were down 7-3. Then they were moving again and what happened, happened.

The playoff game honestly I know it sucks to say this about a divisional playoff game but you have to throw that game out. I don't know the reason and I suspect we never fully will.... was it exhaustion after a season of upheaval? Was it the emotional impact of the same team and the Hamlin incident a few weeks before? Was it that was the true nadir of the Allen - Diggs fallout that had ripped the heart out of the locker room? Was it a combination of all that? I don't know. But there was something other than Xs and Os or execution of the gameplan that was off with the Bills that night. Every single one of them to a man had the glassy eyed look when the camera was on them.

And then the following season we lost a messy, scrappy game in Cincinnati. A game neither team played that well in.

That isn't to say beating the Bengals with a healthy Joe Burrow is ever easy. They were 8-0 in his last eight starts before last night. When they have him and his guys up on offense they are a tough out for anyone. But I just don't see them as being a "hurdle" the Bills have to get over in the same way as KC in the post-season. Playing the Bengals with Burrow is like playing the Ravens with Lamar. It's going to be a tough game, sometimes you will win and sometimes you will lose.

Burrow is really good-- even though I don't care for him.  He is more patient than Allen and takes what is given him.  If the Bills play off, he takes the easy throws.  When they get more aggressive, he goes for the jugular and has the weapons to do it.  What he can't do-- at least not now-- is make the off-script plays Allen makes.  When Josh is patient like Burrow, but then makes those off-script plays too, he is simply the best QB in football.

Buffalo has three of the most memorable games this year and all againts the AFC North.  Two crazy comebacks in the 4th quarter and a 250 yard rushing demolish of the Yinz

I never saw this as a game the Bills would have lost.  Game in the snow with the best running team vs the worst run (and pass) Defense.  This team gave up 87b combined to the Vikings and the Jets (lsoing to both).

Even if you assume the QBs are equivalent (they aren;t but...) the Bills Defense should have been the difference and they were (well, for 2 plays they were).

This game pretty much ensures the Bills will be in the playoffs. They won't win the East unless something fluky happens, though.

It wouldn't bother me all that much as long as they win on Sunday.  If they win out and don't get the division, I would feel great going into the playoffs no matter what the rest of the league does.

And the Bengals playoff odds all but died today. For all the ups and downs this year, Allen is 3-0 against Mahomes, Burrow and Lamar this year.

It's just Penix, Mills and Tua who give him fits.

What better way to celebrate a cherished item than to share it with a young fan. Allen truly is a class act.

Would be a lot of fun for it to come down to week 18

Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Buffalo can't have the same record as New England and win the division.  They need to win out and have the Patriots drop 3 games.

Allen beat Burrow, Jackson and Mahomes.  That’s the 90’s equivalent Kelly beating Marino, Elway and Moon.  I don’t know if Kelly did that in one season.

It looks like Kelly defeated Moon, Elway and Marino during the 1987 season.

Incorrect. If they both finish 13-4 and NE loses to NYJ or MIA, Bills are ahead.

Anyone ever played competitive sports should know this. When you face someone or a team with the same casts you have beaten before vs someone you have never done it carries a very different psyche.  This is not a one-off kind of situation like you are facing a Daniel Jones who happens to have a super year. This is a Joe Burrow who is a top 3 QB in the league when healthy and his offensive weapons that are going to be there for the foreseeable time Allen and the Bills are in contention.
