My bad, you are correct. Every aspect of the formula is divided by attempts. Not sure why I thought otherwise.

As others have pointed out they’re #1 mainly due to having faced the lowest amount of pass attempts in the league. However they’re still 4th in epa/dropback, 6th in passer rating, 4th in completion %, and 7th in NY/A allowed for the whole season. Since Rapp went to IR and Bishop broke out those numbers are probably even better.

This can't possibly be true, just 8 weeks ago Hairston was a wasted injury prone draft pick, Tre White was completely washed and that freaking Cole Bishop was a draft day gaff.

Somebody must be posting fraudulent misleading stats

Agree pass D has not looked good on the whole.  But with Poyer organizing the back-end (spelled by Hancock), Benford trending up, Bishop emerging, Milano recovering, and Max Hairston back I think it could be pretty decent (At least until we have to put all of them in the box to stop the run!)

thats why passer rating isnt a great stat btw

Actually I think our pass D has been mostly great all year and it's really because of the way Beane and McDermott have built the team with such a focus on the back 7.

 

It's part of the reason I feel more confident playing teams like the Bengals and Chiefs than I do the Ravens since our run D has been a huge issue.

I mean, aside from that drive he didn't do much. Even the Steelers looked like they couldn't be stopped on that one drive yesterday.

Yeah that’s it. We’ll see on Sunday how good they are. Passing game is good when teams are focused on running, it’s bad when we need it. Last minute before half is a crucial drive and if this Passing D was better it wouldn’t of looked like a cake walk

Most of the time sure, but losing our best rusher will give them even more time when our coverage does hold up.  Losing Bosa will hurt, there’s no doubt in my mind
