Einstein Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Josh Allen looked like a completely different player right after that unnecessary hit that somehow drew no flag. His whole approach appeared to shift — his reads were faster, he worked through his progressions cleanly, and he hit his check valves routinely. He also started firing up his teammates, yelling on the field (“let’s go!!”) and you could see a real, visceral switch flip in his game. I don’t often like speaking on matters that cannot be quantified, but this was so obvious and so real. 6 3 1 Quote
RobbRiddick Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I wonder sometimes if he starts games almost groggy and then when he gets that first contact it seems to shake the cobwebs loose and help him focus. Seen it happen so many times in his career. 3 Quote
Tim Tindale Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago He needs contact to get locked in these days. Give me a QB Power on the first drive every game. Quote

Juice_32 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I told my son the the Heyward back and forth was the best thing that could have happened for that game. Sometimes I wish the guy would be the AI version of him that ***** talks everyone. 4 Quote

T.E. Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago His emotions are all over the place during games, and McDermott knows that, hence the emphasis on not getting too high or low, a mantra Allen repeats a lot. Not a bad strategy, but he plays his best when he's angry. Quote

My son & I have noticed this for years. If Josh starts the game slow or looks nervous, he usually plays much better after he has taken a hard shot from the defense. In his younger days, we always thought it best to call a running play for Josh on our first drive. Quote

Michael Jordan and Tom Brady figured out a way to turn everything into a character assassination, especially later in their careers when they had already accomplished so much. It would have made sense for the competitive fire to start dimming, but they invented new ways to be “questioned and short-changed” (“And I took that personally…”). Josh needs the a-hole in him to come out more, especially as he ages. Cyborg Josh is unstoppable. 1 Quote

Freddie's Dead Posted 48 minutes ago Posted 48 minutes ago Sal pointed out on the radio broadcast that Buffalo was kind of sleep walking through the game, and then came the late hit on Josh that wasn't called. After that, Buffalo had a nasty edge. To quote Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto: "I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve". 2 Quote
JoshAllin Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago Brady's play calling probably had him and the wrs half asleep and unmotivated out there, so that might've woke him up 2 Quote
billieve420 Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago (edited) Heyward claims Josh hit him in the gut with a knee on purpose and the jawing back and forth which pissed him off. Edited 44 minutes ago by billieve420 1 Quote

The defense was absolutely bringing the lumber right from the get go and the offense was cramming the ball down the Steelers throat on both of the first two drives until more Alec Anderson mental errors put them way behind the sticks. That Sal fellow must have been watching the game on the radio as well. 1 1 Quote
