He's a black hole for footballs like Isaiah McKittrick

Succinctly put.

Whether you call it football intelligence or instinct.......there are always some players who just can't translate their gifts because of a lack of it.

And it's hard for fans to identify.   Lil' Dummy McKenzie was a good example.  The negative impact he had was significant.

CJ Spiller is an all-timer kinda' example of unrealizable talent.

Big red flags for "dumb" players always pop up though.

For Moore it was as simple as following his brutal career passer rating when targeted and INT numbers.   He's literally NEVER been a positive for any offense he'd played in.

In an era with less statistical info available you might get a nugget like when Tasker let it slip on air that CJ Spiller wasn't getting more reps late in his rookie year because he still didn't understand the play calls(after playing in a flash card signal system at Clemson).   Then the emergence of the all-22 footage where he clearly had no clue where his blocking was going and was just running to daylight.   Even then, Sean Payton couldn't see it and thought he'd struck gold in FA.

Moore just seems to have the spatial awareness of a pinball compared to an average NFL WR.  If the Bills do decide to incorporate more choice routes back into their system that would just further diminish his potential value in their offense.

Josh Allen had a 49.1 QBR when targeting Moore 🤯

Last year in Cleveland, whoever their QB was had a 44.5 QBR and was picked off 8 times 🤯🤯🤯

If your QBs threw 9 picks targeting you the last 2 years, and only completing 55-60% of the targets the last 2 years, it's not just the QB's fault.

Again, a guy we were all surprised made the 53 man roster.

All jokes aside, wouldn't shock me to see him on the practice squad next week

The Patriots or the Bills?

Bc I think he's done in this town. It would look *pretty* dumb to have a "mutual parting of the ways", after he approached the team looking for more snaps - only to come back on the Practice Squad.

But it would fit the definition of 'Billsy' for 2025. 😁

Moore clears waivers

Cooks pulls hammy in Q2

Cooks to IR

Moore re-signed

There seem to be a fair amount of posters that are wondering why Buffalo signed him when Moore doesn't pass the muster analytically.

Were we better off not signing him?! What would have been a successful season here for Moore?

I am wondering how, if so many others can see it, how does the Buffalo front office fall into this "mistake" of a signing?

The Patriots have a bye before playing us, which means 2 straight weeks of hearing how cute it was of the Bills to win the AFC East for a few years from their "fans" here in New England. Beating the Bills a second time this year will take their fair weather fandom to a whole new level and I cringe at the thought of it. I have Pats PTSD and the only cure for it is to have them be irrelevant. The Pats signing ex Bills players and seeing them have success there makes it that much worse.

Well, Diggs usually starts to fall off a cliff near the end of the season and turns invisible in  the playoffs...so there's that!

Offensive coordinator is the big need IMO.  You can change out receivers all you want.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but the passing game was decent last season so I’m not sure what happened.
