November: 11-8

Dec & Jan: 20-4

That's from 2020-2024, the 5 years we consider this era of the Bills.

November is always a slog for this team. I know "eye test" will be thrown out there but might be recency bias because those teams put out some absolute clunkers in November. I don't see how anyone can not say the 2021 losses to Jacksonville and Indy are worse than our 2 losses this year.

This team is not those teams. It's not just a couple of bad losses but how they have looked in their wins too.

They consistently struggle to put up points in multiple halves of games. I don't see how all of a sudden they flip a switch.

This season is going to only get worse, I'm afraid. I'm in the camp that doesn't understand why so many just assume the playoffs are a given this year.

Having tie-breakers over Baltimore and KC is a big reason why.

Beat the Steelers and we’re at 8-4 with a tie-breaker over them too.

Lose and it’s gets real, but also helps keep PIT in the drivers seat for the division, knocking BAL with our tie-breaker, into a more likely WC race.

Sorry no.

THIS team is NOT what the teams we had during those years.

I have faith that we'll see the same.

People correctly observe that this team isn't as strong as previous teams.  But the league & the AFC also aren't as strong.

When I look at our schedule, it's easy for me to see a potential run, starting next Sunday.  Honestly, I could even see winning out if guys get a little healthier and the injury bug starts to dissipate.

We don't beat the Steelers and we can almost kiss the playoffs goodbye.  Every game is a must win now.

You have a short memory and like to just make blanket statements based on your gut. You should go back and watch those teams.

Heck how about this... go to pro football reference and just look at splits. You don't even need to watch.

Even when we had Diggs in his prime this offense struggled at times.

And by the way... that's the nature of all NFL teams... even the great ones.

It gets dicey but every game is not a must win.  That’s insane to say.  13-4 might be enough for the 1 seed if NE didn’t have the most cake schedule that ever caked.

10-7 probably gets us in with our tie-breakers.

I appreciate your opinion, but I disagree. And honestly I dont want to see our crap show in the playoffs right now.

Did you not remember that last season under Daboll? That team looked bad for most of the time leading up to the playoffs on offense and then exploded for the greatest 2 game run on offense of any team in NFL history.

All teams struggle at times. But great teams don't have multiple games were they struggle to get to 7 points in a half.

In 5 of their last 7 games they have had halves were they scored 7 points or less. Yet all of a sudden they are flip a switch cause it's November and December.

They are what their record says they are.

I’m looking at the Texans game differently today.

Jared Goff threw 5 INTs vs that D last year.  They just don’t allow ANYTHING.

We were really ok considering no Kincaid and a complete reshuffling of WRs week to week.

The only unacceptable loss this year is Miami. You can make a case for NE more than Atlanta imo.  NE was at home.  11 league sanctioned penalties.

Other than that, I still think there is reason to be confident we can make a run.

Then I see the injuries and I’m like, just get me to the off season I’m so over this ***t.

Different team. Different season. We will win enough to make the WC, but the division is out of reach. The defense is a mess. The offense is a mess. There will probably be like 15 players on the injury report.

They certainly are by this time in the season.  But some here enjoy wearing the red and blue blinders, and that's fine. And we certainly can't blame people that have purchased December/January tickets from wanting to think that way! :)

Wow, you folks are really depressing.  Bills were 6-6 in 2023.  Short memories about how much worse this team is/looks compared to past years.  I can only imagine the threads when they lost to Philly in November 2023 in OT.

I understand but we’ve seen strong teams make an early exit and so so teams tear it up.  I do think the second season could be special if we get guys back.

Record wise sure it's similar. This offense and defense is much worse talent wise and scheme wise. They are not the same at all.

As the previous poster said, many don't want to accept that this team may not be that good. They are likely a year or two from getting back to being a top team again.

The team is really on that fringe of maintaining order and winning some home games and maybe eeking out 1 or 2 on the road…OR completely crumbling.  The injuries now creeping in to the OLine and Kincaid still not right, could submarine this.
