Thankfully, all teams do not have all the pieces in place to stop Josh like the Texans have:

1. Two lockdown CB's that can handle the Bills WR's one on one, allowing their Safties to focus on Cook and the Rushing attack, while simultaneously forcing Josh to hold on to the ball too long....which leads to number 2.

2. Two premium Pass Rushers who can take advantage of the fact that Josh had to hold on to the ball to wait for receivers to get open.

3. A Middle LB'er with size and speed that can spy on Josh Allen, and can actually catch him and stop him if he does try to run it.

The Texans D sure made it a tough day at the office for #17.

I haven't seen very much of Houston this year until last night.

They are going to be a nasty matchup for ANY team if they make the playoffs. That wasn't a fluke, they brought it!

Too many people on this board have proven they don’t know football with all of the stupid posts.

The majority of this Board acts like Houston is the Jets and the Bills should have been able to easily put a beat down on Houston and win by double digits.

That Houston defense is good enough to get them to the Super Bowl. To me Denver and Houston with their defenses definitely have to be favorites to get there. Nobody will beat them IN Houston the rest of this regular season.

Bills had their chances it was the turnovers that hurt the Bills again more than anything. If the Bills can get the turnovers cleaned up they will be fine and in every game.

All of Houston’s losses have been by one score and all of them to playoff teams. They have held down Stafford, Darnold, Baker. They beat the 49ers by double digits and beat Baltimore by 34 without Lamar but even if Lamar played it wouldn’t matter, they would have beat them.

People need to chill out on this board. Bills aren’t going to lose to any teams the rest of the year unless they have a comparable defense and the Bills turn it over a bunch.

The people thinking Cincy will beat the Bills in Buffalo are hilarious. Their defense sucks. Burrow isn’t going to do any better than Flacco has.

The Bills don’t play anyone the rest of the way even close to that defense other than Cleveland and Cleveland’s defense still isn’t as good and Cleveland’s offense is a lot worse.

Bills definitely have their own issues but Bills without the multiple turnovers in these games probably only have one loss at the most on the year. Have to find a way to cut those out.

Football has always been and will always be about winning physical battles against the guy across from you.  Houston’s D dominated us at every position, especially up front.  Sometimes it’s as easy as the other guy just being better and that’s what we saw last night.

I am pretty sure they have all the components to stop just about any offense right now.

If they can somehow get into the playoffs I legitimately believe they have a fair chance of at least making the Super Bowl. One of the only things I could think of last night was how badly I wished we had anyone at all like what we were getting smashed with. Just pure domination with an attitude I don't think we've maybe shown since Rex Ryan.

We have a lot of issues and regretfully most of them point to Beane. Huge praise to whoever put together that defense for Houston.

True, but I just watched the All-22 and I've got to say I'm not impressed with Brady's route concepts. Too much mesh that took too much time to develop.  Guys running into each other in the middle of the field making it very easy to defend. Might have been risky, but I would have liked to see Josh attacking the outside quickly like he did on that stop route to Gabe in the first half.

I am still so impressed by that defense.  That defense EARNED the win for that team.

I'm pretty old school, so I love a good smothering defense.  I miss the days when we could play D like that - we had good defenses during the drought at times, and certainly in the '90s.

But this thread is good perspective. That's the best D we'll face.  I still have hopes for this season & a good late run - slim hopes, but hopes.

Seems like a Salah coaching tree issue as well Allen tends to struggle against this defense. Ulbrich, Salah and Ryans all give Allen fits

Josh torched saleh when he was DC of 49rs

I think it's more just matchups... Houston does match up very well vs our offense ...

Kincaid really does change everything.. because he's the guy who runs that 20 yd corner behind everybody when they're creeping up

Houston was about to beat down the Broncos when Stroud got hurt. They could just as easily be fighting for the #1 seed. That really doesn't change anything from my perspective with Stroud out.

Deshawn Watson played a huge part in putting that defense together. He directly led to both Stingly and Will Anderson.
