The defensive series at the end of the 1st half was one of the most pathetic displays of football I've ever seen. That's a game changing drive.

The Joe Brady running a clearly gassed James Cook for a 4th straight time on 4th and 1 when you have JOSH ALLEN was one of his dumbest decisions of the year and that includes calling an end around to Dawson effing Knox

Leaving a clearly hobbled Spencer Brown in the game not only put him at risk but also put Josh at risk and hurt the team

And at the end of the day Josh has nobody to throw to when he has a clean pocket and last night he was pressured almost 30 times

There is zero creativity on either side of the ball. Hell our defense only got better when our recently extended MLB got hurt

Finally 2 TNF games in a season is NFL malpractice

The drive before the half was so insane and pathetic, I honestly was completely done with McDermott at that moment.

Any .00001% faith I had left was gone after that. I was basically there after 13 seconds, but forgave McDermott. Then the AFC championship where KC had 17 1st downs IN THE 1ST HALF and his most efficient game of the year lol. Yeah I was done

But that last drive before the half. My God was that disgusting

Man I've had Dion's back here before he was even a pro bowler

I don't know he probably thought Josh would get rid of the ball by then because it's actually deep in a drop

But that's obviously inexcusable and he's supposed to be a captain

He be slapping up guys right after we lost smiling

Listen it is a long season and it is a job and you can't take losses too hard.. but Dion has gone from chippy chip on his shoulder

To I created an NFL award.. I'm on all the ex-nfl players podcasts.. everybody loves me in the league

I still think he's very good.. this is his worst season in a while is false start today on 4th and 1 with the game on the line is f****** inexcusable

but he still took an opportunity to rip Coleman

Just wondering this AM…what was the actual difference in defense from the first half to the second half? Did McD take over play calling duties in the 2nd half? Was it simply player execution? He did seem much more animated after the defense started really locking things down.

That's the rumor in Twitter spaces was McDermott took the play calling over in the 2nd half but I can't confirm anything.

Regardless tho it's on McDermott. It's his responsibility for the ridiculous 1st half defense vs a Texans offense that is basically trash

I'm not looking at all 32 pages.  I'm sure it's been said.. but it's not lost on me that against a great defense, if the Bills just kicked very makeable FG's on the final three drives, it's likely a win.  I know most everyone had no issue going for 4th and 1, down 23-16 with like 9 mins left but not kicking the FG there ultimately doomed them.

WTF is wrong with this dude ?

He’s been bad this year and is always in a good mood.

Just grasping at straws but I’m wondering if Hard Knocks was more of a distraction for this team than we thought.

Man I was beating the OL drum before the game, and was excited to see how they’d show up for Thursday night vs a strong defensive front. Very disappointing. Props to Houston. Before I called them very good, and I will take that back and say they were great last night.

The OL has been bad all year against good defenses. They must have read their press clippings coming into the season instead of working to get better.

Especially in road games this year, the O Line has been getting physically whipped alot.  The regressions are so clear from last year to this year.  The Oline is more than a tick down, and the WR play/chemistry is way off.  Also, Allen is not seeing the field sometimes, or panicking and running himself directly into sacks.

Houston gifted us a chance by pulling it in and playing conservative with the lead.

Agreed but I think this was by design. Play conservative and take no chances with turning the ball over and swinging the momentum, and just allow your defense to win the game for you and keep the lead. It worked.

No sacks against one of the worst olines in football.  Our pass rush is ass

I think I know what the problem is. I think they need to Just keep drafting more defensive linemen
