To be honest, Buffalo is playing a second string QB.  They really should take care of business.  I know Houston has a good defense and some good skill players but there are no excuses

At this point, I think the division is no longer available as the Patriots have a much easier schedule. They have a 4th-place schedule this year, and Buffalo faced a first-place schedule.

At this point, I hope they can make the playoffs. Texans, Steelers, Bengals (with Joe Burrow back), Patriots, Browns, Eagles, Jets. At 7-3 with 6 games to go, and 4 of the 6 look tough. 14-3 would be sweet, but with the way the current defense is playing?

Patriots play, Bengals (Ja'Mar Chase suspended), NY Giants, Bills, Ravens, NY Jets, Dolphins. currently 9-2. With only 2 tough games, the Ravens are tough because they will play in Baltimore. 13-4 looks likely.

Every game will be a huge test, considering how the defense can't stop the run. Now I don't get how they stopped Carolina, though.

They were able to go against tendency a lot in the bucs game - but if they can win at the LOS on offense then they will win.  Avoid being super predictable and getting behind the sticks, and if they speed rush up field they're going to mix in blitzes and spies to stop allen from buying lots of time.  Be decisive, and dictate.

Texans have a good defense.  Definitely agree about not being super predictable on offense.  This is the kind of game we will know if we have the right OC or not.

Big fan of cartels?

Joking aside, why do people vacation in Mexico of all places!?

Mexico City is one of the coolest and most cosmopolitan cities I have ever been to. Amazing museums, food, green spaces, and neighborhoods. Highly recommended. The government has control there too (unlike many parts of Mexico) and the murder rate is 10 per 100,000. It is lower than Houston and Kansas City.  I spent a week there a couple of years ago and plan to go back again soon.

I didn't think much of it, until I looked closer.  Yes, they're chasing us for Wild Card, but then I looked at other Wild Card teams in the standings.

We have a two-game lead on them, Chiefs and Ravens.  We already own tie-breakers with the Chiefs and Ravens.  With those tie-breakers, a win this Thurs. effectively gives us a three-game cushion.  More so, should we end up with a three or four way tie, we'd still own the tie-breaker, as we would have beaten all of them head-to-head.

Now, don't get me wrong, I still want the division, and haven't given up on that, but a win Thurs. would give us a lot of security for at least making the playoffs.

There’s a very good chance if we end up being the top wildcard team we’ll go to Baltimore for the first playoff game which isn’t good

Carolina stopped giving Rico Dowdle the ball and insisted on forcing a timeshare with Chuba Hubbard. That helped a lot.

Everything's bigger in Texas...

I worked there in ‘79. I had to make a delivery to a customer in Houston. Met the guy, he dang sure wanted to project a presence. Standing proudly in his giant cowboy hat, a big belly that stretched the buttons and material to the limit of his cowboy shirt, which hung over a giant oversized belt buckle that was barely holding up his duds. Along with sharp looking boots. The total Texas package.

I introduced myself, he asks where I’m from, I said New York. He then went off about “got dam Yankees” taking jobs away from our boys in Texas and he refused to take delivery. So I left. I get back to the shop, they already know. He called, said if they want his business they better not send a Yankee. They told him he’s the only delivery driver they had and that he can go elsewhere with his business but he owes them whatever the order was.

I went back the next day, someone else met me, but he was there a bit away giving me the stink eye. I nodded, he walked away.

A little off-topic, but I agree 100%. I've been there four times and it is just an awesome city. Incredible museums, parks... neighborhoods that look like Paris but with the best tacos you've had in your life. Yes, you have to be careful at night, but that's true of a lot of cities--I once tried to walk somewhere in downtown Dallas at 11pm and it was a lot scarier than Mexico City. Don't be so timid and you'll discover a beautiful place.

P.S. I don't know if I'd say this game is huge, and I have a feeling the Bills are on a run now, and will continue by taking care of Davis Mills.
