CEN-CAL17 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) They will blitz and play a lot of cover1 man to man….. Game plan should to have some bunch formations and cause confusion, rub routes and get the ball out quickly. Play action pass and run the ball. Cook has the opportunity to make big play against aggressive type of defenses. But that won’t be the plan let’s be honest. It will be, “oh it’s man coverage against the blitz” go out there and beat your guy and get separation. Ugh Edited 1 hour ago by CEN-CAL17 2 Quote

Ugh Well when they KNOW you're passing because you rotate kincaid and shakir in, then it becomes a bit easier to plan against buffalo. 1 Quote
BeastMaster Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago You would think we would get a focused Allen and really the team as a whole with their recent performances at Houston Their Oline is garbage and their defense has had to do alot of heavy lifting to pull out these last few wins for them Having to do even more against Allen and company is a very tall order on three days rest I anticipate the Bills breaking through the Houston D and their offense simply not able to provide much to help them stay in the game 1 Quote

Every game there has been a nightmare And for that reason, it’s why i had this game with Houston circled above all others. This is a cleansing game on our run. Josh (and the Bills) have a chance to get every monkey off their backs en route to Santa Clara. McDermott always emphasizes/praises toughness (both mental and physical) and this is an excellent opportunity to go down there and slay the boogeyman. After Houston there’s just one left, and we may not face that one this year (when it counts). Edited 1 minute ago by Billsfed1 Quote

The Texans' defense is elite, but their offense is one of the worst in the league -- with or without Stroud. One matchup I'm not a fan of is Nico Collins vs the Bills soft zone, after what Drake London did as the only downfield weapon the Falcons has that was worth guarding and the Bills decided it was a good idea not to guard him and rely on Le System!@! If NE can just drop a game or two. It is crazy how easy their schedule is this year. Yeah I just looked at that too. They will really have to slip up...fingers crossed. 1 Quote

Hopefully Brady keeps the creativity flowing again this week because I doubt receivers are gonna be as open as they were last week. Get Johnson and Cook involved in the passing game again. And even if Kincaid can't go, which is likely (call him Boy in the Plastic Bubble-you all remember that movie w John Travolta from the 70's) get Knox involved some down the field. If he can get open he usually can make the catch. Need to be creative. Playing cautious and conservative only throwing 5-10 yards downfield will get us nowhere against the Texans. Quote

They were able to go against tendency a lot in the bucs game - but if they can win at the LOS on offense then they will win. Avoid being super predictable and getting behind the sticks, and if they speed rush up field they're going to mix in blitzes and spies to stop allen from buying lots of time. Be decisive, and dictate. Quote

With those tie-breakers, a win this Thurs. effectively gives us a three-game cushion. More so, should we end up with a three or four way tie, we'd still own the tie-breaker, as we would have beaten all of them head-to-head. I am not sure if that is correct - I think that is only the case if EVERY team in tie-breaker played head to head. But if they did not, then it goes to conference record. This was the case way back (like 1980) where we beat both teams in the tie breaker, but they did not play each other Quote

Whoa...hold on...what London did against the Bills when BABICH was calling the D in the first half. Once McD took over, Atlanta gained like 70 yards of offense the entire 2nd half. Quote
