That depends on his attitude right now and going forward.

Releasing Coleman over Moore is a knee jerk, emotions based move a fan would make. Not a smart GM.

Moore is providing us nothing. He's the first WR made inactive if everyone is healthy. After this year, he's gone. We get nothing for him anyways.

Coleman is only a year and a half into his career. You've yet to try him inside (which is something we could try with Gabe and Palmer on the Outside), where he may be better suited. And again, at the very least, there's a good chance you could get a return on him after this season. Even if it's a minimal one, it's better than nothing.

Why not just release Coleman? He has no place on an NFL field.

Pretty sure where we drafted him, he has some guaranteed money.

We should release Hardman and sign Gabe.

That fumble on the punt return was criminal for a guy with experience in the league.

You cannot have both opponents gunners coming at you freely and expect to make a play.

Kudos to him on the huge return earlier though.

I was so happy not to see Keon on the field today.  Clearly we are better without him at the moment. Having said that I wouldn’t give up on him yet.  But not sure what that even looks like.

First of all.  You are wrong.  He is 21 years old.  Some disappointment for sure but he is not a bust.

second do you know how contracts work?

Hardman has a calf so I think Hardman to ir , Gabe signed

Shakir or or Codrington on the ps call up

Typical calf can be 2-4 weeks for Hardman

I may be wrong and missed it but I think codrington was released outright and isn’t on the PS. If hardmans injury is serious calf Injury he’ll be ir’d. If not, someone else may be cut for Coleman (Moore??)

I'm guessing I obviously don't know. But my guess is he is signed back to the ps

This is a very valid point. Shakir is banged up right now. Second time this year. Kincaid is injured. There is a chance we may need someone to take snaps from the slot. Coleman could have importance.

Keon is not a bad athlete. He is not a dumb player. He seems to posses the tools necessary to play at the nfl level. His problems are strictly effort and attitude related. He spends most of his reps at half speed. Put on the all 22 from any game this year and that’s painfully obvious. Add in missed meetings?? His problems start and end with him. If/when he decides he wants to play, he could be a difference maker. Otherwise, hope he enjoyed his view today

I'm sure someone who left the game healthy will wind up on the injury report by Wednesday... J/K

I am guessing that the easiest thing to do would be to IR Hardman and give his spot on the 53 to Davis.

Then you trade him after the season. You act as if Elijah Moore is some kind of massive loss compared to Coleman. He has 115 yards all season. He gets open just as often as Coleman does. You cut him and there's a pretty decent chance you can get him back on the Practice Squad.

You cut Coleman, not only are you missing out on potential growth on and off the field (even if that looks unlikely), you lose out on guaranteed money, lose out on his potential in the Slot (which we haven't tried), and lose out on a potential return (even if it's minimal) on a change of scenery trade after the season - if it's still not working out.

Outside of wanting to do something out of anger, there's no logical reason to release Coleman instead of Moore.

Tyler bass is “hurt”, coleman “missed meetings”, hardman “hurt” today. Anyone else skeptical on these? Lol

Everyone knows Tyler Bass is healthy now. Once you put someone on IR, you can keep them there as long as you'd like. You don't have to activate them to the roster if you don't want to. There's no rule that says once healthy, they must come off IR. And there's just no reason to put him in cold while Prater is still handling the job fine.

Suggesting both the team and Coleman himself (as he did an interview after the game) are lying about him being deactivated for missing a team meeting is simply ludicrous. Him simply being inactive bc of performance is a much better look for Coleman. And much less of an issue for the team to deal with in the media.

I do not act as if Elijah Moore is a massive loss compared to Coleman. Not sure how you got there. I believe Coleman might be better in the slot, but how many slots do we need? If the coaching staff decides his attitude and work ethic suck, who are you or I to question that?

Shakir is banged up. Kincaid is on the shelf for the foreseeable future. Probably at least a couple more weeks. And if he shows something there, you could get more in a trade after this season.

Who are we to question what? A hypothetical scenario where his attitude is so bad that they choose to cut him? He was sat for his indiscretion. If they felt what you're implying they could feel - they'd have just cut him this week instead of sending him a message.

From his Postgame interview, it doesn't seem like he's disgruntled. The media peppered him with questions where he could have easily went off. He didn't take the bait and took accountability - when he could have easily told the reporters to F off and not even field questions.

If he continues to show nothing, then you trade him in the off-season. It's as simple as that. You can potentially get something for Coleman and you get nothing for Moore. There's at least some potential for growth with Coleman and Moore is who he is. And ultimately, Coleman not taking a step isn't any worse than Moore.
