He’s both. The problem with him is route running. That’s why KC used him for sweeps and returns.

Does this mean the organization is abandoning the preference for slow, un athletic wrs  who have poor catch radius’ and play with subpar effort?

There's the gimmick play.  They're quietly going to give Hardman #0, and hope that teams don't catch on for a while.  He'll still have to be fast, since Brady still won't let anyone go long.

I think Brady has shown us he has no idea how to get a WR involved in the offense…..hell look at Diggs numbers once Brady took over play calling!

agreed. His ability to play ST means he should get on the field immediately.
 

Also, we only need him to run some GO routes to clear some space. Just go deep!

Exactly. As soon as he's in football shape (and he should be close after going through the Packers TC). At the VERY least he's a good return guy and that can be enough to get him a game day jersey. Then let him run a few Go routes to try and keep safeties back. Can open a lot.

Who are you finding at this point in the season? Justin Jefferson isn't walking through the door. This is a guy that has Super Bowl experience, BIG GAME EXPERIENCE, speed and is a good return guy on top of it. He also had made visits with other teams, most notably the Saints and Steelers. So, no he wasn't just sitting home playing Battlefield 6 and eating Nachos

More to the point is the knee jerk reaction to bringing in WR's that no one else is looking for, assuming that might help us.  Just my opinion

the problem is he’s not actually better than our top few guys

 

if we want him to return and take 5-10 snaps on offense - I’m not mad about it but it’s not revamping our attack

I feel that his decision was based on going to the Raiders, I honestly feel that if the Bills would have made him a offer that (and I feel this way even now) that he would have came here and if asked would have come out of retirement to play with the likes of Josh and the Bills .

 

If he would have been here in OTA's and mini camp I feel the chemistry between him and Josh would have been 10 fold better than last season they had little to NO time to develop a chemistry at all, Josh didn't look at him as even a second guy to go to let alone a first .

 

And given his production at every other stop in his career even if he could have given half that it would be better than 3/4 of the players on todays squad .

 

But maybe that's just the fan in me & I think it will be the same way with Hardman they need reps to become comfortable not only with the QB but with the offensive scheme and to be thrown in at this point of the season it's a much harder task to get in sink than if they had him earlier in the season .

He just doesn't want to take the hits anymore, even for millions of dollars. I totally get that.
