If buffalo wins this game comfortably, what will you guys think?

Back on track? AFC championship 🏆 appearance at min

Still skeptical? Iffy?

Still anticipating missing the playoffs or early wildcard exit? Fire everyone?

Beat Houston also then we will talk

Yes I agree 💯 %.

Their defense is extremely tough and excellent CBS. Pass rush is legit. I have Buffalo dropping that game...

It reminds me of the 92 game when Jim Kelly in the bills went down to New Orleans and played an extremely tough saints defense.

I forget who the saints quarterback was....

I'm going to look up the highlights one sec

That was one of my favorite games watching growing up

This is what the Texans game this upcoming Thurs reminds me of. Hopefully Allen can stay disciplined and win this game like Kelly beat the saints

Those saints linebackers were awesome

God I miss those days.  Wasn't that the game Kelly threw a TD ( or just a great pass)  and gave the "up yours" after getting clobbered?

If nobody goes to ir

My guess is

Tj Sanders activated to 53

Gabe Davis & Dane Jackson called up. I think they'll rest Taron and Cam. Ingram is the starting nickel.

So the secondary is

Benford

Hairston

Ingram

Poyer

Bishop

White

Jackson

Franklin

Hancock

Inactives

Moore

Kincaid

Lundt

Mathis

Codrington

Taron

Cam

6 wrs active

Palmer

Big game Gabe

Shakir

/////

Coleman

Samuel

Shavers

Pr - Shakir

Kr - Samuel/ Davis

I tend to agree with this. Have seen many posts on this board and on social media calling for Coleman to be inactive. I just don't see that. I know that fans and to an extent the team are disappointed in him. But I don't see them taking him from the guy that has far and away the most snaps as an Outside WR on Offense all season to a healthy scratch.

I also agree that you're not likely to see Hardman actived this quickly. I don't see both PS elevations given to just one position. And I see them viewing Gabe as providing more than Hardman would on just three practices.

One thing I definitely don't see is them sticking Shakir back there to return Punts while banged up. If you have Codrington active, as you do, he'll be handling the Returns. He provides nothing as a DB so it doesn't make sense to have him active if he isn't doing Returns.

not having Hardman immediately for return ability alone would be a mistake IMO.....

I also think just having him run go routes could help us a bit

TJ Sanders being activated?     Don't want to see Kincaid on IR.... not worth it.

Is Mathis expected to be out that long?

Gabe Davis to 53

Hardman & Fox  call ups

?

I'd be pleased to be wrong, but I feel like if Hardman were someone they felt was that important to revitializing the passing game as you do and were going to put him on the field less than a week after signing him on three practices - they'd have put him on the 53. Especially when they had/have an open spot on the 53 at the time of signing Hardman and now as well.

The open roster spot will go to T.J. Sanders. Even if he were to be inactive and the 53rd spot went to a WR temporarily, that would mean we would need to call up a Defensive Lineman with both Sanders and Mathis out. And we'll also need to call up a DB with both Taron and Cam out.

I just don't see a realistic way we'll be calling up both Davis and Hardman. And I see them wanting Davis active over Hardman.

Don’t want to hear about Bills injuries this week.  Just win.

For the 1st time in awhile, we're the healthier team.  Absolutely no excuses.

Feeling good about Sunday.  I don't think it will be that close.

Very frustrating if Gabe doesn’t play.

Not for nothing, and many might disagree, but I kind of want to see Gabe/Palmer outside and Keon in the slot.

Bills need to figure this out and we know what Shakir is.  Would rest him and see what Keon can do there.

We’re a long shot to win the Division right now, so figure out the best combinations on this team at positions like WR, LB and S … and just get into the playoffs.

Sounds like Gabe won’t play this week. Mistake IMO.  Don’t understand this staff.  More concerned about rotational defenders than providing ANY impactful help for Josh

Joke if this is the case

If that Slapnuts guy is correct then Davis “had a setback”. Does that mean injury?

For those of you calling for Gabe-give me 2-3 sentences why he can. Don’t tell me why others can’t, tell me why he should be on the field over the others. I just don’t see the need to play him

no. The staff is more worried about rotational D players than they are about improving the passing game

30 TDs with Josh Allen.  16.7 or whatever avg he had here yards per reception. He works much harder than Keon. Good run blocker

his “ad lib” off script ability to get open for Josh is miles better than anyone in the current WR room

I think this team has 1994 Bills vibes.   They look like their old SB-contending selves some weeks...........and then they can't take care of business against underdog opponents and look incompetent and their weaknesses look insurmountable.

The issues in 1994 were pass rush and OL.   The most glaring issues this year are WR and LB play.

That 1994 team still had a puncher's chance to get back to the SB if Kellly hadn't gotten hurt.......but instead missed the playoffs entirely after Kelly got his knee busted up on a low hit by Jack Del Rio in an upset home defeat to a Vikings team.

There is still a chance but this is a "game script" dependent team.   They aren't going to be able to bully their way back like in recent years when they've slept-walked thru the middle of seasons.

Yes, but what about the bubble screen to Shakir behind the line of scrimmage? You're forgetting Brady's money play! And if that fails, there's always the back-shoulder throw to Coleman along the sideline. /s

But how would they know a decision has been made? Don't the Bills have until tomorrow afternoon to put Davis on the active roster? Or have they already announced he won’t be?

I’ll give you three sentences.

1-Gabe has shown he can at least get behind the secondary and haul In long TD’s.

2-Nobody else in our roster has shown that ability.

3-Since nobody on this active roster has shown that ability in a Bills uniform, what not dress Gabe and see if he is once again able to offer that for this offense?

I have to admit - I don't know anything.

But I can't escape the feeling that this regime would much rather go w/ the mediocrity that they know & trust rather than take even the smallest leap to try to improve things.

Agree.

Who would be Ingrams backup - Hancock?  Assuming Taron and Cam miss.

Hopefully not Codrington.

As we say each week, need the offense to show up.

One thing I wouldn't rule out is a Practice Squad elevation of Te'Cory Couch.

He's primarily a Nickel and I don't think it's a coincidence he was brought back into the fold last week.
