May Day 10 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I dont believe McDermott/Beane are in any danger of being fired. Also, Beane is mostly a grocery-getter for McDermott. He deals primarily in a lot of the numbers, contract stuff, etc. It is possible that he has made such of the botch that the Bills could move on from him, but not McDermott. I would be shocked though because it seems that McDermott/Beane/Pegula have a great working relationship/dynamic as far as they are concerned. The onus is on McDermott to change. It does seem like their metamorphosis into William and Mary is complete and you would assume McDermott is happy with that. Also, you probably suspect that he recognizes that the passing game is broken. Turnovers and timely catches by Hollins seemed to mask that last year and keep it at bay with their 30-point or greater streak. I can see them moving on from the coordinators. Unfortunately I dont see how there is wiggle room to really change the roster all that much for 2026. Lots of money spent and a ton of Void year money. 1 Quote

The little diva went middle school mode on the team and on Josh. Keeping him might have been amusing in a reality TV way, but that’s not the entertainment I’m looking for. We will go all in on WR after this offseason like we went after defense this year. And they fixed the OLine before that. I really like Hoecht and some of the new guys on D. Our defensive backfield may finally get the speed and athleticism they need, and Walker could be the steal of the draft for ANY team. Time will tell, but I’m not jumping ship after 50+ years of this. . Edited 9 minutes ago by Augie 1 1 Quote

But the bad contracts and late/missed draft picks have caught up to us. I personally think believing that Josh was ssooo good that we could plug anyone in at reciever and we could make it work was the biggest mistake. Yes it’s over. This debacle is proof positive of that. This team has no heart or consistency. Just bad from management on down. Quote

Unless, you like losing in the playoffs. This team is easy to decipher. DC's are laughing at us. Too easy. Quote

Instead we lost today, and our 2026 1st is more valuable to draft the next DL or linebacker to spend a season or two on IR. Nah bean need to keep it he eyeballing another TE. Quote

I think just some very obvious dumb decisions by the GM. Mack Hollins costs nothing in the grand scheme of things and he would get open deep and made really smart plays all the time. Beane was penny wise and pound foolish with a player like that. Quote

Part of me wanted to convince him to give it a watch. I ended up just saying "you like what you like". I hope he stays away from fandom. Or at least lucks into being a fan of a team that can win a SB. Yah man don't worry even if we have an All-World QB for a solid Decade we wont' win anything I mean what is the point right? lol Quote

KCNC Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago For this year, probably yes. Too many injuries and team is not playing with any fire that I can tell. But next year is our year!! Quote

The entire Diggs narrative that appears to be so popular here feels like fans thinking Doug Marrone got fired. Quote

I could understand why Mack didn’t come back. He wanted a bigger deal and given our cap situation we could only offer him so much. Quote

One of Beane's main flaws as a GM is being overly concerned with "value." It causes mistakes in both the draft and FA. Hollins was not good "value" at the contract the Pats paid him. Joshula Palmer is a good "value" FA signing. Trading a 2026 1st for Waddle was bad "value." Drafting LBs in the first, even if they are far and away the BPA, is bad "value." I personally don't care about value. I want good players. The whole regime is also overly concerned with traits and culture, but that is another discussion. Quote
