Probably. They got 7 years with him. All of the coaches in the drought era got less than half of that with terrible QBs. There are also very specific things (13 seconds) you can point to and say "we were going to the Super Bowl with almost any other coach in that position."

True, but it’s not an answer to the question. With Ed and Hoecht I’d feel very different about our future. Just a healthy Ed if we get that far would help my peace of mind going into a game.

Need a top down rebuild  Fresh vision even if it means they take a step back.  Hire a offensive head coach who hires real proven coordinators not yes men from within  Get a GM who values getting Allen the best players around him not continuing to pile resources into a failed vision   The small defense doesn't work  They players cant hold up to 17 games  Its been proven year after year when we are missing key pieces and get destroyed in the playoffs  Relying on your unicorn QB to hide the lack of playmakers week after week is asking too much to be sustainable   Only think this regime got right was finally building a good O line for #17

The main thing that bothers me....no downfield threat. We used to have it, maybe palmer is that guy, it looked like it before he left the ATL game. I say activate Gabe next game. He can block and has proven to win down the field. Defenses dont fear us with the deep stuff.

I don’t think ownership cares to be honest. They just want a competitive product on the field for sales. Because if they really cared, changes would’ve been made about 2 years ago. Other fans have said “Josh is the Phillip Rivers” of his generation. That comment infuriates me, but Bills management is doing a good job of giving life to that  career arc comparison…
