So weird to have a process guy be so dependent on tren. The end result is injury after 1.5 games. 
 

I’m having a difficult time reconciling these types of signings with the process.

It's pro sports. Everyone is enhancing their performance as much as they can and trying not to get caught. It's all part of the game.

Spoiler alert, 80% of these guys are on steroids or PEDs of some sort. Although this guy was dumb enough to get caught. I’m pretty sure the league actively tries not to catch people. It’s a bad look for a bunch of players to look like cheaters.

Sad part is a DL with an Achilles I assume will take until 2027 season to really be back full strength

 

It's a hell of an injury to come back from, especially for a big man where you're applying full force to that tendon every play

 

He could very well be on the field in 2026, but I would not expect the version of him we saw for 6 quarters or whatever it was

No, they would eat 9.2 million in dead cap if they cut him and his cap hit is 7.5 million. The final year of his deal in 2027 is a fairly small dead cap hit. I would likely say they are stuck with him for 2026. I think most likely they would keep him out until next December really try to have him be a piece for the late season and playoffs.

I think the leagues program is administered by a third party. That being said the parameters for testing are known and probably something most guys know how to get around. It isn't like you could just do anything you want like the old days but I would largely say if you want to get an edge if you are smart about it you can get away with it. Hoecht was probably just careless or got advice from someone who didn't know the protocol. Just unfortunate he suffered such a massive injury because he was looking like such an X-Factor. Maybe they can just IR him until next December and see if he can do anything for a stretch run next season.
