Because you get the skill and the savings as opposed to a vet that eats 30m in cap I don't see why Jax, who is in the playoff hunt and already down Hunter, would even consider moving him. I know there are "rumors" about this practice work ethic, obviously he has declined production this season -- but BTJ put up a monster rookie year. I'll be shocked if they move him, but I would definitely do it for a 1st. 3 Quote

Almost wonder if they don’t think Keon is a fit and they send him there. If not then you would assume Moore or Samuel. 9 minutes ago, Chief Loves Bills said: Do we really think this is a possibility given how high a pick it would take? Many say a 1st. I don’t know the details or if it will even get done. It’s certainly possible or they wouldn’t be in discussion. That means they’re at least in the ballpark at this point. Maybe the Bills part with a first or it’s some sort of swap? Totally spitballing here and have no knowledge of the compensation discussion but maybe something like: BTJ and a 3rd or 4th for Coleman and a 1st? The Jags have a late 3rd (or it least it looks like it on the chart). If the Bills offered their 1st and Keon for BTJ and that late 3rd, the value of the difference would be 500 points. That’s the equivalent of the 40th pick. It would basically be pick 40 and Keon for BTJ. If the Jags drew the line at a 4th, that becomes the equivalent of the 34th pick. Again, I made that return up but these are the kinds of things that they’re probably working on. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp 4 Quote

Yeah, I’d have done that Why would you waste cap space and assets on a linebacker that would be only depth when we have so little cap space to shore up positions of much greater need? 1 1 Quote

stlbills13 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We need two moves today. A WR and a DE. I wouldn't hate a 3rd move at either DT, CB, or S for depth but 3 moves in one day is not common I know. I'll say it again. Push the damn chips all in. Banners hang forever. 2 1 Quote
Walking Tall Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I see no way the Jaguars trade Thomas. They are a decent team fighting for the playoffs and Hunter just got injured. It would be asinine for them to deal him right now. 1 1 Quote

Desire to trade him right now would likely indicate he's not a good fit culture-wise - which we'd probably need to see as a huge red flag. Personally think Olave/Shaheed the most likely - but I'm guessing 1 Quote

Trade for a WR that has term or would be in our long term plans, as we’re likely drafting one anyway if we don’t. Then push the chips in for a DL piece. We have a lot of pieces locked up long term. A move for a legit WR wouldn’t just be a rental, it would set us up with Player X, Palmer and Shakir as Josh’s new core group and remove a need in the offseason. Quote

gonzo1105 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Another name I would take a look at is David Onyemata from the Falcons. Small base salary, worked with Ryan Nielsen when he was their defensive coordinator. Seems to be getting fazed out a bit by the Falcons due to their youth movement. He is 32 and has been suspended twice for PEDS so maybe he’s up the Bills alley for cheap 1 Quote
