Either.

People are nuts if they think 6'3" 4.33-speed  2nd year WR on a controlled contract who had 1282 yards and 10 TDs as a rookie is not worth substantial trade capital.

tell me who you want and what it's gonna cost in trade capital and a contract. BTJ is the perfect target for this team.

100% agree but giving up next year‘s first round pick for him is a no-brainer in my opinion. He would’ve been a top 10 pick in most draft classes but because three all world wide receivers went before him he fell. He fits exactly what we need at wide receiver a guy that can stretch the field and I don’t think the drops are going to be something long-term. He didn’t seem that way in college or last year. He definitely has top 10 wide receiver ability.

Send AJE with a first and fourth for Thomas.

too much.  How about a 4th for Thomas, and go from there.

He gets traded,  it's not even going to take a first round pick

People have goggles on a talented wide receiver who has his head in the gutter right now... The leader in drops with metrics at the bottom of the NFL is not going for a first round pick

No matter if he's 6'2 and runs a 4.39..

The biggest red flag is if the jaguars would trade that guy with 2.5 years left on his rookie deal

Hope Beane doesn’t see things the way you do. If so we’re losing out as per usual. Watch the Chiefs get him for a first and some pulled pork

Again I'm not saying he's not worth a pic

I've been around football long enough to know he's not going for a first round pick with his tape this year

Randy Moss went for a fourth round pick and I don't care if he was 29-30 he's the most talented wide receiver ever

If they were actually going to trade btj you would be able to get him for a second

BTJ is on year two of a rookie deal... It is definitely taking a 1st. The contract affects the value.

I know plenty of scouts still in the league and people around the NFL and nobody is saying it's going to take a first if they were going to trade him

One thing if he was progressing from last year yes that would take a first

He has significantly regressed across the board.. he does not have a first round pick value right now.. his advanced metrics and his drops will not take a first round pick

Just watch if they even trade him but they're prolly not because they probably want more than what they would get

He's got great talent but there's obviously something going on in his head right now.. you can't trade a first round pick in the NFL for someone who's dealing with issues

Well that's my point. Teams would need to give a 1st to make them willing to trade him. You can't expect them to give up a 1,200 yard rookie WR for anything less than that... regardless of how he has looked this year.

I'd offer a 2nd this coming Draft, a 2nd in 2027, Keon Coleman, and AJE as a rental.

I worry about giving up a 1st and would avoid it if at all possible.

Two seconds, Keon and AJ is a lot of assets.

Don't get me wrong I want BTJ. But I'm worried that his stats all come from Mac Jones, who is like the anti Josh Allen in play style.

There's a problem there. Needs fresh start. Might have to deal with some BS down the road, but thst team has so many needs and soooo many resources put into WR position there.

Took BTJ last year, traded the GD farm for football Ohtani, Dynami Brown in off season added. They paidddd Gabe last year.

Huge deal to Christian Kirk few years ago. Zay Jones that same off season too. Those guys are gone but the need to change up their roster construction.

I think a player for player + nice draft pick would be a good get for that team too.

Btj might be a headache down the road but really I dont care. Dumb way to handle the position... by nature these guys are selfish. Help him get his touches and feel what being on a winning team looks like. Promise him an extension after having a killer year here.

Hell give a guy that Kawhi Leonard LLC deal for all i care 😭🤣😭🤣

We haven't traded away a 1st round pick since 2020, and that trade ended up one of the best additions in franchise history. It feels like it is the right time to make that sort of blockbuster trade.

Next year's draft supposedly is strong in LBs, safeties, and IOL. We don't need 1st round talents at those positions. We need a legit WR to complete our offense. Any use of a 1st round pick is a risk. I'll take the player that put up 1,200 yards in year one over any random rookie.

If Beane is willing to part with a 1st, would you rather have BTJ or Olave?

Olave.  He loves ball.  Thomas is a mystery

One thing to remember. THEY didn't pay Gabe. THEY didn't grab Zay. THEY didn't pay Kirk. THEY didn't draft BTJ.

THEY (the current coach/GM) weren't in charge when these moves happened. They did give up a lot to go get Hunter and they did grab Brown. They have as much loyalty bto the Thomas pick as they did for Zay, Gabe and Kirk...all of which are no longer there.

Except Stefan diggs  average 18 yards of catch one season in Minnesota

Had another season where he had a hundred catches

And then had 5 seasons above 60% catch rate

Btj is at 49% right now which is not effective.. diggs had 67% the year before we traded for him

Hmm that's a really tough one for me. Olave is the higher floor and more expensive, BTJ is the higher ceiling and cheaper. Olave also has a real injury concern. Gun to my head I probably take the higher floor in Olave because I know exactly what I'm getting with him and I think it's enough to push this offense over the top. BTJ there is a legit concern that he is mentally broken.

But more and more reports are coming out that they are not going to trade Olave. So BTJ might be the only #1 option available. If they can add Shaheed sure do it, but we need more.
