Josh Allen Played Most Undisciplined Game in Three years Against Falcons-- Jim Kubiak BN

I am the biggest Josh Allen homer in the world.  He is my favorite athlete to root for, ever.  I am considering getting a 17 tattoo.

That said - the past few games (New Orleans included), it has been hard not to notice the dissonance between all of the commercials and media attention he is featured in, and his inability to execute basic handoffs and diagnose blitzes properly.  His mechanics and throws have been mostly fine, he’s still elite, but yet - the details have been off, and one inevitably starts to wonder about his focus.  But you could also say the same thing about the o line and offense as a whole - they just seem distracted and complacent, which they can’t afford to be given their lack of talent at WR and lack of a true innovator at OC.  They have some big games coming up and it’ll be interesting to see whether they start to get it together and clean up the pre-snap nonsense.  Because that to me tells me where their level of focus is.

I wouldn't expect significant improvement unless we trade for a top tier WR and/or Brady is replaced

Neither can the Ravens, who folks say has an awesome front office.  In fact, KC has essentially blocked everyone.

That’s a convenient excuse, and I’m sure it’s comforting to some fans, but I’m going to continue to put the blame on the roster and coaching as the major factors.

I tend to agree, except for maybe the pre-snap penalties. Those aren’t from a lack of talent or innovation.

It has to be the roster and coaching. KC being the roadblock is simply the bar that’s been set. There will always be a closest competitor in the conference. Some set a higher bar to clear than others. It’s unfortunate that KC/Reid are at their high point while Allen is at his, but those are the breaks. The roster/ coaching have been very good for quite a few years. Just not quite enough to clear that hurdle completely. It really can’t be anything else.

Are we getting a significant amount of presnap penalties on offense? Honestly haven't noticed anything so unusual

it cuts both ways

w better coaches/players maybe we'd have been KC and the rest of the AFC's roadblock

Seems to be a lot of false starts ( even at home ) illegal formations etc. Just guys heads not being in the game. I haven’t counted them or anything - just seems to be some general sloppiness to the offense.

Sloppy football is unbearable.  Top to bottom.  Gane plan against Atlanta did not account for their blitzing.  Brady and Babich have regressed.  Injuries hampered the team's effectiveness.  This season has been incredibly hard to watch.  Hogh hopes scuttled.  Hope the team can rally and turn things around during the bye.
