This freakin place is so awful after a loss. Obviously 2 in a row makes it way worse.

We're making the playoffs. That's all i care about. I would love the #1 seed, but I reject any notion we need it. McDermott's playoff road record may be 0-whatever, but that leaves out the fact that other than 2019 (when we weren't this iteration of the Bills and Josh Allen wasn't yet Elite), every road playoff loss came against the Chiefs.

That proves somehow we're doomed on the road against other teams in the playoffs??? Totally disagree.

I also think this crowning of NE is really premature.

Guys, before the season started looking at our schedule to start the season I think we all would have been happy with 5-1 at the bye. We're one game off that pace with a mass of circumstances I think we underestimated.

Let's just take a step back for a moment and look at what really happened against Atlanta.

Our #1 receiving weapon who's become Josh’s most reliable target and finally seemed ready to break into that "Elite TE" category was out.

Josh Palmer got injured on the 2nd series and I really think that killed our offensive passing game. It was clear to me the Bills were about to integrate him more into the offense. Even the commentators brought up the conversations they had with Bills coaches last week about Palmer's deceptive speed.

Daquan Jones suffered a calf injury during warmups leaving us with 3 active DTs, one of them being Ed Oliver coming off injury. (Side note: Deonne Walker is going to be awesome!) 3 DT rotation against Bijan and Algier??? Yikes!

Bernard gets hurt mid game and exits.

McGovern gets hurt and comes back clearly still hobbled.

Plus we have 2 important defensive reinforcements coming in right after the bye and hopefully Hairston can play soon after.

Say whatever about our remaining schedule but none of these teams are that scary. The Bengals will probably still be starting Flacco and their D sucks. The Eagles (as stated) look like the NFC version of us.

Kansas City is, in reality, an inconsistent up and down team we're going to play at home and is the one team on our schedule this team doesn't look past. Yes they got players back, but they lost last week against the Jags with Worthy and it baffles my mind the way Rashee Rice is talked about as an Elite WR who will inevitably unlock their offense. The guy has played 20 NFL games and surpassed 100 yards a whopping 4 times. I'm not saying he won't be good and won't help, but the whole "uh oh!!! It's the high power Chiefs of 5 years ago!" is pretty ridiculous.

The Bucs and Steelers look good, but how much do we really think that lasts?

We aren't going undefeated after the bye, but who cares? January into (hopefully) February is all that matters. Just get there.

Take the bye, get healthy... take a breath.

NOT me.

I am NOT freaking out.

My mind is elsewhere.

It's too bad the emergence of Dart has probably secured Daboll's job in NY for another year. For a while there, it was looking like he might be available come December.

Would have been a bad hire.  daboll is not a good HC.

I wish Daboll had become HC.  He grew up in Buffalo and really thought he would stay as OC having Allen as his main guy.  The offense hasn’t been the same since he left.

You cant be serious. Have you seen his work as HC in NYC?

Wtf??? Low expectations????

All that literally matters is getting into the playoffs and starting to play the actually legitimately important games we can freak out about in a loss. The playoffs are an entirely new season and every other playoff team would fear the Bills, Chiefs and Ravens alone regardless of record and seeding simply because of who's under Center and previous playoff experience.

What have you seen to make you think we’d have any shot against KC in the playoffs? We struggled against the saints. We can’t beat KC when we are actually good. What is going to happen now?

Is it just an amazing coincidence that the better NFL coaches always have a good to great franchise QB?

I think all you can ask of a coach is to put a support system and strategy in place to get the most out of his players and help them achieve at or close to their maximum potential. How would we rate McDermott at this?

The problem with the Bills and this fanbase is not that we are too demanding, its that we are not demanding enough. We are smart football fans here so please dont patronize us with the take a breath and relax nonsense. We've seen this movie before and we know how the story ends. As soon as a fanbase stops demanding excellence and accepts mediocrity that is a great sign that we are headed to hell. The fact is that the Bills have not been good enough and are lucky to be at 4-2 right now. The defensive coaching and performance has been poor at best and the offensive performance has been hit and miss. This coaching staff and GM have had years to tweak and get it right, they have made some great personnel moves but all too often come up with some stinkers. Too many times we have been unprepared for games and allowed teams to beat us in their personal SB's. Last night was a perfect example. A mediocre team plays up to us and instead of being prepared and squashing them and killing their hope, we enabled it with embarrassing tackling, ill disciplined penalties and bungled play calls. Yes the fans need to be mad and the players need to get mad and the coaches need to hold themselves accountable (including McD himself).  There is no way that even with the injuries that piss poor effort from the team was acceptable last night. They went down to Atlanta and got their asses kicked and should have lost by more and the players and coaches should be justifiably embarrassed.

No. I just don't have the memory of a goldfish. I've seen this regular season script play out every year since 2021.

Then you’d probably remember all the playoffs scripts that went along with it.

If we fire McDermott mid season, can Gruden be hired mid season for HC?

We'd have to ban Gruden from having email.  Keon has big lips.

All I know is the Pats social media is claiming the Dynasty is back.  Maye is the next Brady.

I even read somewhere, from one of their obnoxious fans, "Vrabel + Maye = Belichick + Brady"   AND, "Vrabel and Maye are an ELITE coach and QB"

This makes me sick.

Saddest part is we have no rebuttal.

Here's the rebuttal. Every single one of them claimed the same thing when Mac Jones went on that 7-game winning streak in 2021.

Can never hate too much on McClaps and the Beane as they pulled us out of the dark years. Having said that, their time has come and gone. Years and years now of horrible draft picks, getting easily outcoached and out schemed when it matters most and now an inability to put a competitive team on the field. Time to go. Just hate they took so many of Josh’s prime years in the process. Hoping whoever comes in understands you can’t simply march 17 out there and expect him to carry you through every situation with zero support

If he turns that program around with Dart, sure. I’ll finally tip my hat to him as a HC. Otherwise it was just a case of Josh catapulting him to success.

This feels different to me that our prior two game losing streaks for a variety of reasons:

1 - We've looked bad for 4 games now.  This is more than us just being "off" against a good team/scheme

2 - Josh clearly looks rattled and defeated.  He's been bottled up before and made bad decisions, but this looks different on a cerebral level

3 - We are playing incredibly sloppy and undisciplined, to which the players can't even guess as to why

Overall, it looks like this team has just lost their culture and everyone but the FO seems to notice.
