Mylo, the dog in my profile pic, passed away peacefully in his sleep last night after almost 1 year battling cancer.  He would be by my side for pretty much every game for the last 10 years and I don't know how Im going to be able to watch another game without him.

Sorry for the Lamp post.

I understand how you feel.  I lost my Bills buddy dog last year and things aren't the same.

Sorry for your loss bro. I know how you are feeling. I had to put my best buddy down a few years ago because he had a burst tumor in his stomach. I'm 52 years old and that was the hardest thing in my life I ever had to do.

So sorry, bro. It's been six for me in my years and it's the worst.

I lost my previous boy at just shy of 14 in Nov 2023. It crushed me. I'm on the autism spectrum and I don't really connect with people easily and I'm always going to need a dog for companionship and to help my mood. I was just crying so much for a month and then half-heartedly looked on the petfinder and saw a goldendoodle who had a rough start in life at a humane society branch nearby and I hemmed and hawed for a day or two but I did an application that fell through at first (he was placed with another couple, and a week later they returned him bc their existing dog was being very territorial. Upon getting Ace back, they contacted me. And I picked him up on the 9-year anniversary of my mum's passing from a difficult cancer. Was thinking and praying to her the whole time hoping the new dog would like me. And... it put a little bit of light back into that very sad day on the calendar). And it's not that I loved my Ruff the less. It's just... there are LOTS of GREAT dogs out there who need good homes and... for everyone in this thread... you have good homes and love to share. Ace has really helped in the healing journey and he is the goodest boy. And the thing is, this will happen again until it's my own time to cross the bridge and meet them all. And my heart will break again. But....
