We had 3 uncharacteristic turnovers which led to points for them and took points away from us….and they won on a FG with 20+ seconds left. Meanwhile we were missing several players that will be playing in the future matchups that didn’t play last week. More injuries will happen for both teams. The patriots future is bright, there is no doubt….but that’s all. There will likely be a battle for the division for the rest of Allen’s career. The days of us coasting to division titles are over. I don’t believe the days of us winning the division are over. Apparently some do. It's funny how Pats fans look at it. They dominated w/ no competition for so long - they think that's how it is, and once they win the division again, they'll do the same for years. It's more likely to settle back into what some divisions are like - competitive, back & forth, no one winning for too many consecutive years. 1 Quote

They have made improvements and are playing a 4th place schedule, looks like they have an advantage right now. Bills really ***** up playing like ***** last Sunday. Except Drake Maye is 10 times the QB Mac Jones is and anyone with eyes can see that. They are much better positioned than in 2021 1 Quote

I think the reason for my position has been the absolute famine of top end talent from the draft outside of Allen and Cook. Can't hope to compete at a high level without it, because it ain't gonna get cheaper with Josh, and at some point he's gonna tell them to take a walk with team friendly extensions Quote

I don’t think Josh will be doing that. They have their HC and QB. The Pats have how many elite players? They are set to compete for the division annually and are an ascending team. Quote

Their schedule is EASY. Any game they play? They lost to Raiders (!) and Steelers at home already FFS. Two good weeks don't make them some kind of juggernaut. Recency bias at its finest. 1 Quote

They don't have a great WR corps by any means but the ones they do have have a downfield skill set and McDaniels of course is excellent at scheming them open. When all else fails Maye is creating out of structure and his pass catchers are doing a great job working open for him on those plays. 2 Quote

First of all, my warm and cozy fantasy is much better than your BBFS misery. Just saying. And back to the point. Is this your first year watching NFL? They looked good last 2-3 weeks. It doesn't mean they will look this good next week, not to mention rest of the season. They can lose any game on their schedule. They might be really good, but we don't know yet. They may lose to Titans next week, or Browns week after. They can definitely lose to Atlanta, healthy Ravens, Bills, @Tampa, vs Giants or @Jets. They have better chance to end up 10-7 than 13-4. No, they look extremely solid, beat Buffalo in Buffalo, have a complete joke of a schedule and Maye is legit. 1 Quote

Yeah that isn't what's happening. What's happening is we're watching the Pats build a team the right way and it's pretty deflating. I don't want them to get better, but that's the reality. They have a middling group of pass catchers and no run game to keep defenses honest, but they've still managed to build a WR room and design a scheme that can complete passes downfield at a high clip. They're leaning into that part of the offense and it's winning them games. The Bills have gone the opposite direction. Having Josh Allen at QB and having no downfield passing game is among the very worst failures of team building in NFL history. How do you expect fans to react? Edited 1 hour ago by HappyDays 1 Quote

And as a Bills fan, I HATE what I see them building. It's very deflating to have a season (finally) where some of the big threats are down (KC and Bmore), only to see NE putting it all together. Joe Burrow and Cincinnati Bengals might have a word with you. That is what one of the worst teambuilding in NFL history looks like. Happy no offense but this is becoming ridiculous. We've had bad draft positions, some bad luck, made some mistakes when it comes to drafting / acquiring downfield WRs (though my take is that Beane had much fewer chances to actually do something than most of you think), but we build OL right and have pretty good offense overall. Calling it one of the very worst failures of team building in NFL history just because we do not have one element is just total nonsense and it is extremely unfair to Beane.
