Josh Allen is good enough to overcome McDermott and win it all, but it’s a very narrow path. His teammates believe in him 100% and that’s invaluable. I don’t think they have the same belief in McD and the coaches. So it’s possible, but unlikely.

I would also like to add that I really dislike the identity this team has, and that's all on the coach. We take what the defense gives us on offense; we react to what the offense does on defense...it's all really passive and designed with an objective of not losing rather than playing to win.

 

It's created this environment where the players are flat for most of the game and then borderline-panicky during big moments. They're soft, and that fact rears it's ugly head every time we play a physical team that is well-coached.

No.  He builds mentally soft teams that have occasional flashes of brilliance but it's just not a sustainable model for an 18 week season + playoffs.

No, he isn't. Football is the ultimate team sport. One player can't get his team to a Super Bowl much less win one.

Really an excellent point here. I’d go further and say that the team’s talent is part of it. They’re great at QB and very good or good everywhere else.

Andy Reid couldn't win the big one either in Philly ,yet Philly had teams loaded with talent.

Once Mcdermott  adapts and tries other defensive schemes he will be a complete coach. Overall he is a good coach.

He lost 4 NFC title games and narrowly a SB loss. He made the postseason multiple times with old Vick and Alex Smith. 

 

Reid was very close. And was a great HC before Mahomes.

The Chiefs will win tonight giving them a strong shot at the 1-seed with a season resurgence. 

The Bills will miss the 1-seed by a tie-breaker. 

After a couple more stumbles, the Bills will finish the season strong and take the division. 

......Then get bounced in the division round or AFCC game with another weird label to go with all the rest.

I think the Chiefs will have to fight for the division this year. The Broncos and Chargers (despite yesterday's loss) will give them competition this year which is something the Chiefs haven't had to deal with in past seasons.
