I wonder if he actually lost more like 20-25 lbs instead of the 15 that’s been cited. A pretty grievous mistake on his part in my opinion. The Bills need to do something at RB. The number of touches Cook is getting every week is not sustainable and if he goes down, this offense is in trouble. I expect they give Davis another chance vs NE and ATL, but something has to be done. Give Gore Jr a shot, or make a trade. Fortunately, there is no easier position to fill than RB2, but they can’t keep giving Cook this number of touches. 3 1 Quote

On the Bills front, this article would have us acquiring CB Alontae Taylor from the Saints for a 4th, and WR Jakobi Meyers from Vegas for a 4th (although it also has Meyers goign to Arizona for a 4th). It has us trading Dawson Knox to, of all places, Carolina for a 5th. I know nothing about Taylor, but we need CB help, and Meyers would add some boundry juice to the WR room. Don't like losing Knox, but if it clears cap space that's fine. Otherwise I see little reason for the move. Thoughts? Other players on the move in this article I'd like to see the Bills go after include: --DT Simmons; DE Hendrickson; and RB Kamara or Pollard. I think we need to strengthen the interior DL, add a CB, and a backup RB at the deadline. WR would be nice, but as we are scroing 30+ a game, not sure how necessary at this juncture. I agree in fortifying the D with another player and seeing as Cinci will be all but tanking this season there may be a chance to get Hendrickson if they would eat most of his contract but not sure that would happen . The Bills don't need another WR they have plenty that they aren't utilizing tot heir full potential yet and that chemistry takes time to build with Josh and for them to learn the offense, another CB wouldn't be a bad thing either for depth & they also have plenty of RB's in the room so I'm not for that either . The D is the weak spot ! The offense is good & I think will get better as Josh has more time working with them & Brady has more time to work them into the Bills scheme and if the offense does get better than what they have shown to this point WATCH OUT !! GO BILLS !!! Quote

Add in Hoecht along w Sanders and Walker developing. 1 Quote

If Benford gets hurt the secondary is severely compromised. There has to be a veteran CB that could be traded for in the next few weeks from a non-playoff team. Beane traded a 3rd for Cooper. Ship a 2nd rounder for a stud CB to shore up the secondary. Lots of football left and this team should be playing in February. Let me get this straight. You want Beane to trade a second round draft pick for a CB to....sit on the bench? 2 Quote

DabillsDaBillsDaBills Posted Thursday at 02:37 PM Posted Thursday at 02:37 PM Trading Knox does free up 9 mil in cap space, but at this point in the season what would we spend that on? Knox for a late draft pick doesn't make any sense Knox + 3rd-ish for a game wrecker like Hendrickson or Simmons is intriguing. I'm not a capologist but I'm assuming we could make it work I'm not really interested in targeting a WR/CB/S/RB unless we have some serious injuries. Trading for Cooper last year was such a waste of assets 1 Quote

Hendrickson just signed a deal, was it a pay bump just for this season? Maybe we can interest them in some kind of combo of: draft pick(s?), Trubisky, Epenesa, Alec Anderson. Just riffing names/positions i think they could possibly have an interest in? Obv some of those names are more valuable than others, so the draft pick from us would be of a sliding value, depending. Was this our staff giving him the Epenesa make over? If not, did he inform the team? Its bizarre. Limited plays, but he looks slower, which doesn't make sense for dropping weight. Wtf happened here??? Buffalo blow isn't even any good, and i don't think hes that type of dude either Quote

Trading for Cooper last year was such a waste of assets If traded we’d still be in the hook for the cap associated with the cash pais to Knox on his $9.5M salary. That’s $559k per game prior to the trade. $2.235M for the 4 games he’s played. If we traded him today we’d clear $7.26M. It’s worth noting that the Bills are likely considering trading him. I base that on them not restructuring his contract. They’ll almost certainly need to do it at some point to free up some space - and he’s got the only contract left they could do it with. They’re keeping their options open. 1 Quote

Former QB with 6'3" size and enough quickness and size to be a problem out of the slot. Fun reel! I know SJ State was/is high flying offense. He knows how to use his body, highpoints the ball with authority. Didn't see too much of him RAC, looked like he had good contact balance though in limited tape I saw. Is he a physical guy after the catch, or is that part of his game more getting off the line and at the catch? Kind of an interesting prospect but not sure who the candidate hed be to replace, since hed have to g2 the active roster (if PS Poach)? Probably Samuel? Much lower % chance at possibly replacing Shavers since theyre in a similar mold... but really can't see that happening. Side note: dude was Receivers triple crown king last year... and went undrafted? I get it, SJ State and all, but dudes obv pretty raw at the position and is just a pure athlete transitioning like that. Probably get dinged for being 26yrs old. The offense is tops in the league and the run defense is one of the worst. We need a true quality 1 technique. We have DE’s and WR’s that we could trade. Maybe Epenesa or Samuelson along with a mid to late rounder should be able to net a quality run stuffing 1 technique Id think a run stuffing 1T would be the most realistic grab too, considering the position/role and trade comp we'd be willing to give up. 1 Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted Thursday at 06:28 PM Posted Thursday at 06:28 PM The Bills are not trading Knox unless we get a nice return, which a 5th is not close. The person who wrote that article has no idea what the Bills use him for and the idea that a 5th rounder could be expected to be better than his current abilities is ridiculous. Also trading him costs us cap money and we don't have any of that around. Quote
