James Cook is the best player the Bills have and I’m not sure Brady understands that. Josh clearly has a higher ceiling but doesn’t seem to factor into the middle 2 quarters for some reason.

But once again the wily vet made the play on 4th down to get a TO on downs on the check down to Kamara with 5 mins left in the 4th.

The biggest concern to me is the defensive coaching which has shown no signs of improvement from last year. And that's what kills us in the playoffs every year. The 3rd down defense if anything looks even worse and those plays a lot of times are about their OC vs your DC.

I agree, this defense has not looked “championship caliber” under Babitch.

Sure, it wasn't their best game, but their best game wasn't required.

Would’ve scored every drive if Spencer brown was playing imo…that felt like a huge loss in this one

I actually think White played pretty well today. He had tight coverage three times where he almost succeeded in punching the ball out. The holding calls, well, I feel like if you look at all-22s, you’re gonna see a LOT of uncalled defensive holds.

Yes we won. And we may have played our C game. But we have to remember two things. 1) the Saints are likely the team drafting #1 overall next year. In other words, they are probably THE worst team in the league and we played them at home. 2) We looked sloppy on both sides of the ball. We made unusal amount of mistakes. Even on offense: Josh had the first pick of 2025; Josh is sacked 3 times; we went 4 consecutive drives having to punt. We even failed a short 4th down conversaion. I think fans and McDermott have every right to be upset about the performance.

Yes, he did make a few good plays. Experience does matter.

Agreed.  Factually, there was one OH called on NO.  But somehow, there were defensive holds on our DBs AND offensive PI/ offensive holding on our WR but nothing on NO? 

I don't know, it just seems a bit as though the refs were trying to keep NO in the game.  Had family members who bet against the spread or something.

Or it was the national game on CBS in the early window and they wanted to keep people watching.

I can agree. He had some plays. I don't credit him for other calls that weren't called. The ones he was flagged for he was guilty.
