Italian Bills Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Our big concern, after 3 games, is the run D, undoubtedly the Bills weakest point. Let’s see if today, vs someone like AK, this weakness will be still there, this us my only fear about today game. Edited September 28 by Italian Bills 2 Quote
Chicken Boo Posted September 28 Posted September 28 And quick little receivers like Zay Flowers who can chew up a zone. The threat of Lamar and Henry may have had something to do with that, however. 1 Quote

It’ll even itself out throughout the year. Doubt we are dead last after the next 14 games. Quote
H2o Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) The Saints OL is not the Ravens OL. I'd expect us to keep them between 100 to 120 yds on the ground. Spencer Rattler is actually a baller. He's smallish and athletic enough, so I hope our DE's keep containment like they should. Also, Olave and Shaheed have good speed on the outside. I don't think they will be able to stop our offense at any point though. I still think we win 37-17. Edited September 28 by H2o 3 Quote

boater Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Run D is not the weakest point. 3rd down D is the weakest point. (though, run D does suck) 3 1 Quote

The Bills defense is what it is...poor against the run and average against the pass. The pass rush needs to get to the QB...something that is missing. The Bills need to change that narrative today 2 Quote

My point was that it is an isolated game and probably will be for the year which correlates to it balancing out over the course of a season, essentially “removing” those yards. Pass rush? Yes. Groot needs to show up for that contract. Quote

The Bills need to change that narrative today After 17 games - sure. But in smaller samples like 3 games the opposition can skew. I think the Ravens game makes the run D look worse than it is (it's average to just below average). By the same token the Jets games makes the third down D look better than it is (it is actually legit terrible). 1 Quote

The big concern isn't the run D, it's the run D against certain opponents. Also, it's mostly irrelevant because there are only a few teams that pose enough of a run threat to be able to beat the Bills running the ball...most teams the Bills will happily let run the ball because they simply won't be able to score enough points that way to win.
