If you're going to use Occam's razor on this then you would wonder why he didn't go to the tent after? Why he didn't seek any medical attention or limp off the field or anything? The only video of it is him struggling to stand up and take a few steps after sitting down for the last 25 minutes of the game. Maybe his hamstring is tight, but at the same time if you sit down after working out it's going to cause cramping. Rode hard and then put away wet is never a way treat any machine, and athletes are machines.

Occam's razor also displays that he as a history of putting himself in front of the team. The supposed injury that had Tyler Huntley start is an example. Everybody knew he wasn't that injured.

Agree to disagree.  As I say above, he’s obviously sat through things that other players play through.  Not a quality you love in a QB but he’s got a slight build and he and the organization need his legs long term.

I think what you’re suggesting is something that would put that organization into upheaval immediately.  The other 52 players would hate him and from everything I’ve seen they all speak reverently about him.

Lamar has been downgraded to Doubtful for this week against the Texans.  Anybody still think he’s faking an injury?

I think he’ll still play.

I dont think any of that must go together.

He got those MVPs by having ridiculous stats. If you go back and look, he got a LOT of those stats in garbage time with his team already way up. The same type of situations that the Bills pull Josh and other starters. The Ravens keep Lamar in and keep him throwing to pad stats.

He's had quitting accusations since his 3rd year in the league. This is nothing new.

You can have good stats and be mentally soft.

Totally faked an injury? No

Found a good excuse to pull himself out of a bad game, and take some time to rest in a bad season? Believable

Disagree. It was a crazy thought ImO and this report that he's hurt backs it up.

The point is: To win multiple mvps in the national football league and to have the success he has had you have to be ultra talented AND ultra competitive.

You can't be mentally soft and have the success that he has had In arguably the most violent sport in the world.

Josh's run on 3rd and 5 when they were only up two is the kind of play that breaks opponents. I knew right then, the game was over

Didn't that look like a Madden '26 play or something? You know how the engine has a little stutter when he's breaking through the pocket but when he's in the clear he's bigger than everyone else and moving faster than everyone else, that's what it looked like. As far as throwing from the pocket, Allen looks FAR better IRL than he's portrayed in the game.

His performances in the playoffs and when things are at their toughest say different. He chalks up a lot of regular season wins and stats tho.

Why shouldn’t Lamar fans say he’s the best? The idea doesn’t pass the eye test or his track record against Josh but I’m sure a Ravens fan could build a statistical argument in the regular season to throw it against the wall.  In the end the person that gets to the SB and hoists the trophy will be considered the best between Josh, Lamar and Burrow.

They are already calling him a top 10 QB of all time.

Because he doesn't perform great in the playoffs means he's mentally soft and he's a quitter is what you're implying?

I guess Peyton manning must have been mentally soft and a quitter as well, as his playoff success before age 30 was poor

Was that a designed call or did he just recognize an opportunity and take it?

I never saw a replay and was watching the secondary instead of C/G at the snap.

Nope different situation altogether than Peyton.

Its kinda crazy to me after we've all watched Josh so much, how you cant see the obvious difference in drive and demeanor. Maybe watch more Ravens games.

But I get you dont want to believe this for whatever reason, and I've seen enough to believe it. So agree to disagree I guess.

I disagree in part. You can be mentally soft when things aren't going your way, which they aren't right now. It's easy to be mentally strong when you score 40 points a week and win most of the regular season games. Not so much when you look like ass in a big game.

I have watched Lamar and a ton of ravens game. Does he have to control his temper better and need better body language? Yes. Does he need to play better in the playoffs? Yes.

But to say he's taking himself out of a game cause he's faking or exaggerating an injury is just flat out ridiculous IMO and this report that he's out 2-3 weeks literally confirms that

The report is not that he’s out 2-3 weeks. The report is that he “might” miss 2-3 weeks, and he’s “doubtful” for this week.

If we see Cooper Rush start this game I will be surprised.

You can’t destroy these diehard fans after they have been handed a lost season after 4 games. Let them hang on to something to give them hope going forward. Lamar has been exposed as a great QB that can’t win a big game. Harbaugh is a good coach who hasn’t gotten anywhere with Lamar being an MVP . If they get healthy maybe they can sneak into the playoffs in a weak division but if Lamar is out through their bye they can be one and five. That’s a tough ask.

I believe he'll be out this week, but to your point, he'll be back after that. And then the Ravens and fans can laud it as this amazing comeback because he's such a specimen and competitor. But it doesnt erase the tape of what we all saw. @BillsFan130 will eat it up tho.

All I know, is that I’ve seen Mahomes orchestrate multiple game winning drives on one leg.

Respectfully I have no idea what you're trying to imply in this post lol.

What exactly am I eating up?

He had been itching to make that play for a while. A couple drives earlier he had a play where he very clearly pre-determined that he was going to run but got corralled for a sack instead. Did he learn from his mistake? Hell no, he said I dare you to take me down twice and proceeded to make them look like fools. That's my QB.

Josh breaks a hand, never misses a beat.

I believe he played through a bad elbow for a while too.

Mahomes, multiple leg injuires, never misses a snap.

Oliver hits Jackson, cant play crucial 4th down.

Jackson gets tackled hard down 30-17, walks off and leaves game.

Doesnt have a new contract, let's Huntly play in playoffs.

Just some good-natured ribbing that when he comes back "early" after next week instead of 2-3 weeks, most of us will know he wasnt that injured, and you'll be in the group that is amazed by what a competitor he is to come back early. All good. Go Bills!
