at what mark do you judge a qb? hurts has a ring. by most measures that brings him into any discussion.

 

the eye test doesn't show that with hurts, i may agree. but if that's the case i would say that with mahomes. mahomes has regressed more than any qb mentioned.

 

burrow is the one who hasn't reached his potential yet. of all those qb's burrow is the one that has more upside than any at this point.

There is nothing he can do.  Some people just can't let go of things. Lamar can win title and be SB MVP and it'll be he has all this help and his WR are always wide open.

fwiw i agree with you. talent wise lamar has more than tua because he can run but tua is the better qb. he's not as healthy, however.

 

but lamar and tua are equal, both havne't got the job done when they need to and thus only so great.

 

it's like when people talk about the best qb's of all time. jim kelly would be higher if he had just 1 SB victory.

Burrow has absolutely reached his potential. Crazy stats, got to a superbowl. If you mean to say "Hasn't got a suerbowl win", then yeah. But potential? Nah he's reached his peak performance or thereabouts.

I'm a diehard bills fan, but trying to down play Lamar just doesn't make sense to me.

 

He has been to a championship game before in 2023.

Hes a 2x MVP and inarguably a top 4 QB in the game.

 

Would I take Josh over him ? Yes, cause he has been more clutch in the playoffs.

 

But Lamar is an amazing QB who will probably be a hall of famer one day

Actually he has made the AFCCG and again the same thing that happened to Josh is what happened to Lamar.  The both lost to KC.  I guess you'll now tell me that Josh was a better loser than Lamar.  As I said the both of them are in the same boat. Trying to get over the hump and win the SB.

Talking heads will make every excuse possible and blame everything and everybody other than Lamar Jackson for why the Ravens lost, while simultaneously not mentioning Josh Allen at all.

 

If the Bills lose:

By your level of thinking Trent Dilfer has to be talked about as one of the better QBs and Dan Marino shouldn't.  Gotta question for you.  Who's the better QB Trent Dilfer or Jim Kelly?

Josh, Tua, amd Lamar all have something in common.  They never reached a SB.
