That or Lamar is going to do everything to prove he's better than JA17 and might sail a few bad passes. I think this will be a good test on our young Dlineman if they can hold their contain and not over pursue Lamar and leaving running lanes open etc. I suspect Milano or Bernard might also be a spy on him.

I hope you're right!

that is exactly who that fanbase is.  Make no mistake about it.

It's like Rex Ryan era Jets fans and McDaniel era Dolphins fans had a baby.

I don't think I've ever seen this message board so down in the dumps and dreading the 1st week of the season like this, at least not under the current Josh Allen led Bills.  The Ravens are a great football team, that much is a given.  However, the last time I checked, so are we!  The game is in Buffalo, James Cook will be fresh and ready to show off his newfound 'freedom, and the new editions to the D.line are ready to get after it!  Last home opener at Highmark and it's Sunday night football as well.  I can't wait to circle back to this thread after the win to make sure all the negative nancies are still with us!  Buffalo 27, Ravens 20.  Go Bills!!!!

I wonder if private lot parking rates will jump another $10, like they have every year since they started stadium construction. It cost $40 to park ¾ of a mile away last year. Same lot used to be $15.

Park at the mall, 10 bucks per person to ride the bus to the stadium, usually a police escort on the way in.

It's the way to go.

Joe buscaglia’s article this morning has me very nervous about benford playing now too.

this game is going to be extremely hard to win with this secondary as is, if benford is out too, good grief.

In Strong and Ingram, we trust.  Go Bills !!!

Do we know what is going on with him? It's crazy to me that we would extend him if we didn't know for sure the concussions would not be a concern out of the gate.

There are a few reasons why I think this game has trouble written all over:

If Benford does not play, I just don't see how they can manage with this defense

If Cole Bishop does not take that next step

If Bass is not going to be available

If your first two concerns occur, we won’t have to worry about Bass because we’ll need to score TD’s, not FG’s.

It’s going to be a lot on our Front 7 to stop their running attack so we can play coverage, especially if we’re down Benford.  We’ll also need Taron to lock up Flowers.   Then shade Safety help to our outside corners.

I’d also expect a lot of pressure looks if we can get them into passing downs to try and force the ball out quick.

Lamar is better as a passer, but he also throws into huge windows due to their run game.  Cant get sucked up with RPO’s and/or give him time in the pocket.

I think Bosa, Rousseau and Epenesa should be solid at keeping him hemmed in.  We don’t have Von out there to loop 20 yards behind the QB anymore.   Then it’s up to the DT’s to get pressure up the middle.. that’s the key for this Defense all season, imo.  It’s why they drafted two pass rushers at DT to add to Oliver.

This is getting crazy!

Potentially no Benford and now WGR announced this morning (rather said) that we are going to be without Bosa.

Anyone hear anything about Bosa not playing? I heard it on WGR this a.m.

Jeremy Conn was just on with Sal and it sounded like all 3 of the ravens injured guys are probably out for sunday night.  He didn't seem sure on alexander but was leaning towards out.

Alexander won't be much of a factor if he is in.

Nothing about Bosa on search of X.

You’d think there would be something there if it was anything.

Awesome - Thanks brother! I wonder if it was "click bate" but as an audio file over the radio. WGR is brutal that way...

First game is unpredictable. You ask yourself what has changed? Both teams did not change a great deal.

The Ravens add Jaire Alexander, Hopkins (I don't believe he's starter at this point).

The Bills swapped Miller for Bosa, added WR2 Palmer.

The Ravens had a strong 2024 draft and you should expect CB Wiggins and RT Rosengarten to take another step to be the main starters.

The Bills 2024 draft is still to be proved on the field, but yes we do expect Coleman and Bishop to start for the season opener.

No big surprises from the Ravens like how a Derrick Henry would impact their offense. Now we Bills fan certainly hope Bosa may give them (and NFL) a surprise on how he will impact our defense.

The big thing to me is the Bills coordinators. Both teams had new coordinators last year but I'd say Both Todd Monken and Zachary Orr out coached Brady and Babich respectively. Hopefully a year on the job our young coordinators catching up, especially for Babich - when you don't have a superstar like Allen on your side, you need to come up with ways to prepare your players and be able to adapt fast in game.
