Not saying that’s wrong. Just saying. Dirty Harry was good here. The Vikings threw him a lot of cash to sign. Can’t hate on that. No hate, he just wasn’t that good here, that knee injury set him back, Quote

Utah John Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Phillips was developing nicely and then got hurt. He was recovering and looking pretty good, and I had hopes he'd stick around, but the Bills apparently decided not to invest in him when his rookie contract ran out. Probably that was a mistake, in hindsight, but you can't fault the thinking. The Bills thought they could replace him with someone just as good but without the injury history...and that turned out to be a huge miscalculation. Phillips was the best DT we've had since then. Oliver has been a huge disappointment considering his high draft status and his minimal production. Jones played well until he got hurt. The parade of JAGs in that position has been the Achilles heel for the entire team. Quote

Mister Defense Posted August 21 Posted August 21 It seems like he is about 40 years old for some reason. He's 29! Quote

We all wanted him to be Kyle Williams... he wasnt.... good guy fair player glad he is still around and healthy ... Sorry about that Jets thing but hey, their money is green too... still not convinced after this year you dont join the Allumii train like, Philllps, Beasley, Brown, White, to an extend Hyde, Jefferson etc... and come back at some point.. BurpleBull Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Damn, I forgot all about Harrison Phillips, good times. Y'all remember Justin Zimmer? Looking back at all the forgotten names makes me realize how much time has gone by, and brings about the feeling that we've got to get one soon because we're running out of time. 1 Quote

He has no dead cap money in 26 of the Bills decided to move on. But we are right against the cap at the moment, and as much as it would be a risk, that money is likely better spent on Simmons (if they were to pick between the two). That’s a gigantic safety. Quote

Considering Harrison Phillips has eight sacks in his career in at Oliver has 27 I'd say he's playing it three times the rate lol Defensive tackles are only as good as the people around them and you can't compare ,8 career sacks to 27 Harrison Phillips is a guy ed Oliver is a above average football player who would produce on a lot of teams Edited August 23 by Buffalo716 1 Quote

Oliver hasn't. That's the point. Quote

He played mostly 1 tech but it's not a pure nose tackle in McDermott's system, he's a tweener in size ... He's not a true plug He always put up tackling numbers he's just not a pure pass rusher Edited August 23 by Buffalo716 1 Quote

Phillips was compared to Kyle due to size few times i think But he has been one to hold his ground and get off enough to force a play Memory fades. Yea I like Phillips in Buffalo Quote
