Radiolab did an awesome Podcast about how the Hive mind captured the flag, but they took it down due to complaints. The podcast is brilliant. Its called Truth Trolls, and its on Archive.org I tried to link below, its a amazing tale of the Hive Mind triumphing. Shia Labeouf did "performance art" on live net. He led this group chanting mantra like "He Will Not Destroy Us" over and over. He raised his flag. 4Chan went to Arizona and chanted nasty stuff. Shia punched a guy I think livestream. Well he moves it to another state, and within the first day, trolls chanted rude stuff. Flag comes down again. Shia had to move his art a 3rd time. This time, the livestream only showed a small window, of the Flag waving in the wind, in an unknown location, in the middle of nowhere. Immediately 4Chan was on it. Someone heard a frog chirping, and they knew that frog was on east coast. They discussed Moss, Trees, Flight Patterns, other things, and zeroed in the Flag was in Pennsylvania. Someone saw a fan posted a picture of Shia at a Pennsylvania Diner, with wood paneling in background. 4Chan was going to most every PA diner, trying to match the wood paneling. They were narrowing down where in Pennsylvania the flag was. 4Chan drove around that area, honking their horns. People heard a faint horn. They instructed them to drive in a circle, honking their horn, and tighten your circle as you go. Within 24 hours they tracked down the Flag, and they took it down, all on livestream. The Hive Mind- give us the cancer research- give us cold cases- Collectively We will solve them all., <iframe src="https://archive.org/embed/01TruthTrolls" width="500" height="30" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen="true" mozallowfullscreen="true" allowfullscreen></iframe> Edited August 19 by Pete 1 Quote

I'll never forget diving with Humpbacks a couple years ago in Aitutaki. (Cook Islands). One of the best experiences of my life. There were 3 of them that came straight up out of the deep blue and just hung around us for 10-15 minutes checking us out. They then went to the surface for air, turned around and went straight back down. (I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.) 1 Quote

The band was initially called The Leather Canary. While Chase was a part of the band, he was not involved when they transitioned to Steely Dan. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Early Band: Chevy Chase, Donald Fagen, and Walter Becker were classmates at Bard College and formed a band called The Leather Canary. 1 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted August 20 Posted August 20 The term "arm and a leg" came from the Victorian era. When artists would paint you, they charged more for painting more. Many people would just have an artist paint them from the shoulders up for cost reasons. If you wanted a full portrait with all your limbs, it costs more....so it costs "an arm and a leg." Quote
muppy Posted August 20 Posted August 20 I consider this as fact. Do others of my same age agree? BOOM shacka lacka lacka YES MA'AM 2 1 Quote

Exactly... he was never in Steely Dan. The whole thing is a great story though, and everyone wound up where they should... they gave us the best of 2 worlds. Quote
\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted August 20 Posted August 20 The Boston Celtics won 11 championships in 13 years from the late 1950s through the 1960s. And during that time, their average home attendance was less than 6,000 per game in an 18,000 seat arena. Quote
