JP51 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Ok just a little fun... saw a pic of Baker and it occurred to me damn he looks alot like Dawson... thoughts for fun? Quote
transient Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago With that skinny little body that they propped Baker's head on in the commercial, he looks more like Dalton... 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago JP, it would have been nice for you leave the last names, and no. Im still an avid Bills fantic, but now have lived in Tampa longer than Buffalo. We love Mayfield down here, but some who don’t follow the NFL that closely still think of the reputation of Mayfield in the beginning. He’s been a helluva find for Tampa. It’s a large reason why the Bucs have won the NFCS for the last 5 years just like the Bills. Mayfield is no Allen, but he is a heck of a good QB. 1 Quote

I'm glad he's making the most of his second chance in Tampa. 1 Quote

That's one hell of an impact if the Bucs were able to win the NFCS for 3 straight years in anticipation of Baker signing in 2023. 1 Quote

Cleveland's handling of an injured Mayfield who gutted it out for them has to be one of the worst cases of QB malpractice by a franchise in a long time. 1 Quote

And yet from a karma standpoint, the Browns got what they deserved and Baker escaped the factory of sadness with his career intact, so they kinda did him a favor... 2 2 Quote

Well I figured Baker and Dawson would do it... but noted next time I do a (I mean lets face it) frivilous comparison I will be sure to include them LOL.. .kind of like you I am down near Tampa myself (Crystal River) but only for 2 years... I am trying with little success to incorporate a 2nd favorite NFC team (The Bucs) into my consiousness... but alas... I havent been able to do it... I think its still too soon... I will end up rooting for the lightning before becoming a true Bucs fan... That said, i have watched him and find myself kinda rooting for him... he is not a bad deal for Tampa for sure... keeps them in the playoff contention so I agree great find Quote

I believe it's only 4 years, and they're averaging about 9 wins/season over the past 3 years in the lowly NFC South. Kudos. 1 Quote

Kudos. ok number 1 cleveland browns defender, what has Cleveland's record been in that time? Here's the list of apparently better options that Baker Mayfield: Jacoby Brissett (2022: 11 starts, 4-7) Deshaun Watson (2022: 6 starts, 3-3; 2023: 6 starts, 5-1; 2024: 7 starts, 1-6) Dorian Thompson-Robinson (2023: 3 starts, 0-3; 2024: 3 starts, 0-3) P.J. Walker (2023: 2 starts, 1-1) Joe Flacco (2023: 5 starts, 4-1) Jeff Driskel (2023: 1 start, 0-1) Bailey Zappe (2024: 1 start, 0-1) Quote
Captain Hindsight Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago Not the point of the thread, but Baker is one of my favorite players in the league, I’ll tune into any game with him in it Quote
