thronethinker Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I park at a house down the road and just walk to hammers. Don’t have to be so early and easier to leave after. 2 1 Quote

I remember the time we did park there we were pulling in at 6:55am and we were one of the last vehicles in before the lot was full. And as far as the campers we were parked next to some dudes from Toronto that came up in a camper for the weekend and they stumbled into talking to Hammer the day before and he let them park in there but not sure if allowing campers in his lot is the norm. But yes like the other poster mentioned Danny's which is in that general vicinity allows Campers to park. Could always park there and set up shop and then walk over to Hammer's to check out the shenanigans Good point. I remember if we made it too late, we could always park in the lot that was next to Hammers, and just walk over. If memory serves they did allow campers, but would charge twice as much. 1 Quote
Coffeesforclosers Posted July 19 Posted July 19 If you have trouble getting into Hammers, there are a ton of new lots on Allen, Glenn and Fay Streets. The families there good to deal with. FCFS so get there early (pre 730 AM) Quote

My guy is there every game. Seems like a good person to ask, again, having no idea the owner has an account here and having no idea who he is. Quote

Dunno how many $$$ but I'm betting it's lots of 'em Apologies for going off topic, but I didn't think this observation required a whole new thread. Ive been hearing about the big Tree Inn since probably before the Super Bowl years. I finally went there Thursday for some wings and a couple Labatts. Maybe my expectations were just disproportionately high for all the chatter over the years, but I was surprised that it was such a dump and so small. Maybe ‘rustic’ is a better characterization. WNY gin mill vibe. Just don’t see much of that style in the Atlanta ‘burbs. Nothing wrong with that. I just had the idea that it would be more upscale. Obviously, plenty of bills memorabilia throughout, which is cool. Wings were decent, beer was cold, and barmaid was sweet. Good enough. 😉 1 Quote

It speaks to the blue collar nature of the fan base. 3 Quote

I learned the appeal of the place is in the history, not the ambiance…..unless you like those old Buffalo bars. I’m sure they exist everywhere, but my WNY youth is full of memories in places just like that. It’s just not the kind of place I visit a lot these days. 2 Quote

There's alot of history and some wild stories inside those walls of that building Not to mention the wings there are pretty darn good too😋 1 Quote
Victory Formation Posted July 20 Posted July 20 All I know about Hammer’s lot is that he likes to get hammered a lot.. 1 Quote

Slippery Rubber Mats Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Someone went to big tree and expected "upscale"? 😂No offense, it's just a funny sentiment. 1 1 Quote
Hammers Lot Posted July 22 Posted July 22 OK. I have had issues logging on so for those with questions you can contact me directly at Hammersparkinglot@gmail.com Weather permitting I do park a limited amount of RVs. They must park the day before & can leave anytime- day of game or next day. No loud generators allowed. The only game that’s hard to get into Hammers Lot is the opener. We open at 7am for 1pm games (6 hours) & last year were parking car at 9:30pm. This year with the screwed up times we will probably open 7-8 hours before kickoff. As far as leaveing after the game Jay has no clue. He does not park in the lot so he is no expert. It’s not a “b. Think about it, with new stadium construction which took away a 3,000 car parking lot next door there is LESS traffic on Abbott Rd. We post when we are full on fb-The Official Hammers Lot game days. Danny’s on Abbott last year charged $100 per car, $20 a foot for RVs. 1 1 Quote

Getting in and out of your place is a breeze with the new parking configuration. Along those lines, and I offer this as a PSA for community members, if you want to beat the foot traffic into the stadium the Abbott Road gates are now where it's at because of the parking changes. Hammers Lot Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Section C3, the new 1 way traffic on Big Tree rd headed west after the game has helped out also. Quote
