All Draught Team Bills vs the 2025 Bills

All Draught team meaning the best players from the 17 years of misery.

 

If the player ever played with McDermott, doesn't count.  So like Kyle Williams and Jerry Hughes wouldn't be eligible.

 

Players like Mario Williams, Fred Jackson, Antoine Winfield etc....would.

 

Plus you pick the coach.  Jauron, Rex, Williams, Chan, Mularkey...am I missing someone?

 

Who would you take?

 

I still take our team now because we have Josh Allen and they would have....Fitz?  I don't see enough offensive firepower on the Draught team side.  That's nuts...

I dont think that honestly it would even be close... you can take who you want... Evans, Moulds,Shady,Jackson, Lynch, Williams, Washington. Adams, Gilmour, Clements etc... the QB disparity would be so stark I see the current Bills going 14-3 against the all time Drought era Bills...

Is it the starters or including backups?

 

really, you could start Fitz or Tyrod and see if you are gonna get the good or bad version of them, and if it’s not working, swap them out for the other guy.

 

Feel like that extra wrinkle would keep it respectable.

 

40-24 for the fightin Josh Allen’s.

I see you saw if they played with McD they are ineligible, but imo Tyrod is a drought QB and always will be.

Looking back at the MCM game wasn't it Ralph Wilson who wanted Rob Johnson to start instead of Flutie. Flutie had that "it" factor about him that he would find a way to win the game no matter what. That Bills team had a great defense. I wonder if they would have stayed with Flutie at QB could they have won the Super Bowl that year.

I believe Ralph did meddle in that era. Ralph ended up firing Wade Phillips because Wade wouldn't obey him. Thank goodness Pegula does not meddle.

 

The zeitgeist against Flutie was he didn't  have a long game. I don't know if you can win a Super Bowl that way.

Through the whole drought era if you picked the best players, I’m going drought. Better skills players and better defenders. Yes Allen is miles better, but I think the best players over 17 years all together would win.

Im gonna go with the drought team.  Josh is over rated.  We have a terrible coach.  No way do they beat the droughters.  Mario takes out Josh on the 3rd play.  Cook leaves the game in the 2nd due to contract issues.  Milano is hurt as they run out on the field.  Hamlin is out of position.  Rapp takes out Bernard.  Keon tries to play in a  yellow puffy and gets fined.  McGovern is too full from the previous night's pizza party.  The board implodes in the 1st Q as usual.

Allen on our 2014 squad and that team might actually go 21-0

 

But the best of our drought vs any team with Allen would lose to Josh and crew because our drought QBs were just that bad.

First need to put the All Draught team on paper. Players who played in the playoffs on the Bills are they disqualified?
 

Kyle Williams, Mccoy, Moulds, Tyrod? Imo they dont count because they technically ended the draught or were part of previous success.

I think Allen is such a difference at Qb.  The current roster has a better Oline and think are close everywhere else.
