Georgiev, 29, split last season between the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks. He totaled 49 games with the two clubs, posting an .875 save percentage.

He should fit right in with the goalie group

That’s strange, I ran a search but only got the old one. Mods please merge.

All good. @Simon didn't feed the Gerbils that run in circles so the search didn't work as well as it should.

Which is the good and which is the bad? I wouldn't call the Sabres great at player development.

Nor would I call Georgiev a competent goaltender.

Is the good that Mair might get fired now so they can hire someone else who sucks at their job or that they signed another half -assed goaltender who can have a save percentage under .900?

See the prospect tournament going on. Likely won’t make it, but for $12 that’s some pretty good hockey to see.

Why do ppl still give them money? I don't understand.

So I have Youtube TV now which doesn't include MSG. I am in the buffalo market, what do I need to do/sign up for to watch games? Anyone know?

I would suggest tossing Youtube TV and going with Fubo.

otherwise I think you need to subscribe to the Gotham app which is very expensive.

id rather not watch the sabres

Thomas Vanek's 18 year old son getting a longer look in Ottawa ...Blake played against my stepson the last few years (through Bantams and High School).  His game is a lot like Dad's.  His HS team went to the Minnesota State High School Final game last year.  My stepson's team finished 4th..

Looking forward to the start of hockey season. I'm going to be checking in right when it starts. Can't wait too long because the season is only about 2-months long.

Plenty of ways to do that without giving that piece of garbage your money.

That "piece of garbage" also owns the Bills and Bandits. Do you have a problem with how those teams are run?

I was referring to the team not to Pegula. If I have to argue about why 14 years of abject futility is unacceptable I'm not sure how to even begin.

Give Canisius or Niagara your money if you want to watch hockey that bad. Paying to watch the Sabres be terrible just to watch hockey is silly.

And since you asked, Terry lucked his way into the current situation with the Bills after screwing it up for several years and I seriously doubt he touches the Bandits at all. He thinks he understands hockey which is at least half the problem with the Sabres.

I don't get why people why people that like to trash the Sabres and the owner bother being here smh

Because I used to enjoy the Sabres and hockey quite a lot and management has actively beaten that out of me over the last decade and a half with no signs of stopping any time soon.

Their incompetence is shocking. Any one of use could be hired as GM, given a 5 year leash, and do no worse than what the Sabres have done with experts.

The Bills at their worst have never been this bad, for this long. Even in the long stretch when they missed the playoffs they weren't worst team in the league bad. They were at least competitive in most of those years. The Sabres have been trash and often horribly bad trash.

I am really angry and frustrated about this too, but I'm not sure what is to be done.  First of all, teams are forced to draft children. It would be so much better if the draft age was 20. The NBA made this change; why can't the NHL? Every time I pose this question, I get grumbling from Canadians that it's good for the CHL. The NHL is the biggest hockey league in the world, but they have to draft blindly because it's good for the Kamloops Blazers and the Brandon Wheat Kings?

You couple that with a league where most players have no-trade clauses, and it is really hard to get off the mat when a team is this far down. No trade clauses pretty much negate the effect of the salary cap on league parity. So, you have to wait 3-4 years to know if a prospect is an NHL player and no vets are willing to play in snowy Buffalo in front of 100 angry fans. It's a tautology; no one will come here because of the empty building and the building is empty because no one will come here.

All that being said, continuing on with Adams is clearly not the answer. They need to get a GM and coach with a winning background who will get players to lift their no-trade clauses so that we can trade prospects for guys that can win now. Because the team has to WIN NOW! But Terry doesn't see it that way. But as it stands, this team is more likely to move to Houston than make the playoffs anytime soon. And that would be a shame because Buffalo was one of the great hockey cities in the US.
