US Egg Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Two trains are driving toward one another. The first train leaves Town A at 5am traveling at 60 miles per hour. The second train leaves Town B at 7am traveling at 70 miles per hour. the distance between Town A and Town B is 455 miles. What is the EXACT time that the collision will occur? 1 1 1 Quote

You'd have to calculate how fast each train gets up to that speed and the wind resistance. Quote

It's actually come close to happening in the NFL a couple times. Interestingly, it's happened in college at least twice, and the same announcer was calling both games even though they were about ten years apart. 1 4 Quote

Chandler#81 Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Strange. So an XP block returned to the far endzone isn’t 1 point? 😳🤔 Quote

Don't tell McDermott. He will try and play it safe and not even attempt extra points. The Bills have had 2 hail Marys work against them in recent memory and have a QB that can throw 80 yards. How many hail Marys have they tried? McDermott said it's too risky of a play...for the offense because the defense could intercept it and return it for a TD 1 Quote

I stink at mathematics, but by definition wouldn’t the wind resistance have to be already factored in to the same equation that determines how long it takes each train to get up to that speed? 🤷. I was a poly-sci/history major in college so just feel free to ignore me however! 😅 Quote
