BillsPride12 Posted May 8 Posted May 8 This thought for a nostalgia thread was inspired by this post I saw on X earlier today that immediately took me back to Summertime in the 90s in WNY... Keep it going...post anything Nostalgia related. A regular post with stories or memories are fine but pictures or videos are encouraged! Alright one more post from me to get this thread off and running...The shot over Ehlo 36 years ago today! 1 Quote
US Egg Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Listening to WKBW radio in the late ‘60’s was my introduction to top 40 radio. FM radio wasn’t a thing. I couldn’t do it justice explaining just how great a summertime experience listening to ‘KB was. If you listened then you know. It was a premier powerhouse rock-n- roll station up and down the east coast. 4 Quote

I also remember listening to the premiere of Wings’ “Admiral Halsey” and on a quiet loop beneath the song was “A KB Exclusive”. Also remember the competition to pick a new nighttime DJ, eventually won by Shane Brother Shane. That station was king. 2 Quote

Maddening. 🤨 * I'm nostalgic for the Ridgeway Ontario of 30 years ago. It's amazing the number of homes that have gone into the area in recent years. Edited May 9 by Ridgewaycynic2013 Quote

The Ridgeway of old is not forgotten, but as it keeps crawling outward farther down Dominion towards Buffalo and Crescent beach, the cookie cutter homes are making it look like a suburb of Toronto. Sad that we are losing those open spaces and unique small roadside oddities. 1 Quote

You could just feel it was something amazing. The Cavs were really the team to beat that year too. 1 Quote

There was one for this Spencer Davis Group song. 2. Gabels bar, Hertel Ave. Wednesday night, 50 cent California Coolers, although it was their version of the drink. Vodka and something or other. 😁 2 Quote
