Chandler#81 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Perhaps the finest video from an AFL regular season game. Rookie Joe Namath’s 1st start as the Bills are on their way to a repeat title. Worth the watch’ 1 7 Quote
PonyBoy Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Lol!! The Jet's new $400,000 a year rookie QB Joe Namath. To put that in perspective now, Caleb Williams made about $580,000 per game as a rookie QB. 1 Quote
Stranded in Boston Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Thanks, Chan. That was (just a tad) before I was aware of the Bills, but did anyone in Buffalo actually refer to Jack Kemp as "Jackie" back then, or was that just a highlight-reel thing? Also, my brothers and I sure didn't care for Joe Namath back in the day (with his shaving cream and panty-hose commercials and all that, LOL), but I have to admit -- he did throw a nice ball. 2 Quote

It was common as he went by Jackie as a scrub in the NFL his first couple years. (Giants and Steelers) 1 Quote
RobbRiddick Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Love the innocence of this. "Our slow motion camera capturing the action!" 1 Quote

US Egg Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Again, the red stripe refs. Got to have them back for a retro AFL game. Quote
dave mcbride Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It’s really clear to me from this that Namath had a great arm. 1 Quote
Chandler#81 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Worth noting from this game, Duby broke his leg on that TD pass in the end zone. The next week, we lost Bass for the season as well. Eddie R would start and we traded for Bo Roberson from Oakland and still repeated as champs. Quote

We have to get Elby to a hospital!" Ralph: "Do you know what those things cost?! Have the assistant equipment manager take him in his car. And tell him to park on the street...I am not paying to park in the ramp!" Edited 2 hours ago by Ridgewaycynic2013 2 Quote

It looked like something happened on that catch. 2 hours ago, Ridgewaycynic2013 said: "Mr. Wilson, have someone call an ambulance! We have to get Elby to a hospital!" Ralph is cheap. 1 Quote
