how about a 3rd & 5th  for Shaheed and DT Davon Godchaux  ?

I don’t know. If I’m the Bills I don’t think I can part with a 3rd & 5th. We’d be much better off trading a 1st & 2nd.

The Steelers signed MVS didn't they?  Maybe they are out on this

I'd say a 4th and a 6th for Shaheed is fair ?

It's really strange. He was on the 49ers and got hurt and then placed on IR. That much is on the 49ers' transaction wire. But he's not listed on their roster as being on IR and their transaction wire never mentions a release: https://www.49ers.com/team/transactions/ .  Then I see on the Internet that the Steelers signed him, but the transaction is not mentioned on their website nor is it on their transaction wire: https://www.steelers.com/team/transactions/ .

Take this for what it’s worth:

If Olave and BTJ are really off the table, this is as solid a deep threat option as we’d have.  He showed solid footwork to lose his guy on deep routes.

I can’t say I know much about his overall route running ability.

No one here is going to complain about an overpay in a win-now year.

You say that now, but wait until the Bills trade a 3rd for Shaheed while the Pats trade a 5th for Meyers.

I'll sign up for Shaheed right now if it's a 3rd.  Is it an overpay? Maybe....but doing nothing will hurt this team more

Frankly, I'd offer a 1st in 26, 2nd in 27 for Olave and Shaheed.   Toss in Samuel & a 5th and they can also give us DT Godchaux

After making switch to bigger slower receivers that can block. Will be nice if they can get Shaheed a deep threat who can stretch defenses and something missing in this offense since John Brown was on team. Combo of Beasley, Brown and Diggs was the best this passing offense has ever looked. I do worry about the scheme. We now have elite run game which is what McDermott has always wanted but the passing offense has lacked consistency and rhythm since Brady has taken over.

IMO if it's not done by this evening nothing will happen this week

I expect most teams with a prime tradable asset to take it down to the wire and wait until a week from now to pull the trigger. I know the Bills are in a hurry, but why would a team like the Saints or Giants care if another week passes?

Shaheed to Bills? Wow - when? Then he can stand on the sideline with Samuel and Moore and shoot the shite.

Realistically we have Gabe Davis coming. And Palmer coming back. BOOM BABY

Just found this from Adam Schefter. He mentions Olave too - 15 mins ago. (My time is: 3:49, Tuesday, the day the Dodgers smoke the Boo Jays... again)

Schefter:

Schefter mentions the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos as teams that are calling around, taking the temperature of the receiver market. Shaheed, 27, has 39 catches for 431 yards and two touchdowns on 57 targets over eight starts this year and would add an explosive deep threat for a contender. He could certainly become a more consistent flex option for fantasy managers in a better offense.

I wonder if we'd really use Shaheed correctly.

I mean, we DO have speedsters on the roster. I know Samuel has been hurt, but Moore is also fast, and it seems like we rarely ever utilize either to really stretch the field.  The Saints do that w/ Shaheed - but would we?

Sal just said he expects Gabe Davis to be activated to the practice squad soon and eventually to the active roster at some point.

His Return abilities alone would make the bills better before he even plays wr.

They will definitely find a way to use him. Speed is deadly and can be used in so many different ways.

The problem now is Pittsburgh has been linked to him for awhile and now Denver also which means the cost of the trade will be higher.  Pittsburgh signed MVS today so maybe they will just stay put and use him.

He has an expiring contract and they can not give up a 3 for him.  At most a conditional fourth.

And the Chiefs swap late-round picks for AJ Brown.

I thought Gabe was basically here to be in a professional setting to recover from injury

Gabe is a better WR than everyone except Shakir and has "adlib" chemistry with Josh

He is quite good at getting open off script downfield when Allen scrambles....

plus he is a very good blocker
