And then Josh gets hurt in a meaningless week 17 or 18 game (knock on wood)

Good luck finding it.

I've been to stores in 3 different states with varying luck, mostly bad.

The point is by the time we get to the final 2 games it might be out of reach even for seeds 2-3 as they have the tie breakers. You guys are assuming we are winning out or something. We have a very tough schedule. Not tough enough where we won't win the division but tough enough where Houston and Baltimore might be ahead of us by the home stretch

Talking about sitting multiple starters almost two months from now?

C'mon man.....

Simon answered this perfectly, that should end the thread

Baltimore has a much harder schedule than we do and we’re already a game up on them.

So your plan is week 17 and 18 we can't improve our playoff seeding but you are trotting the starters out there in the cold for a meaningless game? I think it's worth a discussion

The “what if” card. I fold.

Yes because nobody has ever sat their QB in a meaningless game before because of "what if." You are acting like this is something new

Yeah, in Week 16.

Starting a thread about it now is ludicrous.

Stick it in the postgame thread where most folks can easily disregard it.

Yes I’m not sitting them for 2 straight weeks, that’s a terrible idea. Start them, have them play, get the game in hand then pull them-pretty much like any other game. How many times have you seen teams lose after getting a bye because they say they’re guys the final week or 2 of the season. That happens far too often

You don't sit healthy starters, but if we end up there, which I think we will, I bet we err on the side of sitting guys who are less than 100% rather than playing them

Fair enough. That's why I asked the question. I don't think it's so cut and dry. Maybe you play them but play it safe by running the ball a lot and quick passes. I can dig that
