I thought the NHL banned him. Guess not as he is the new Ducks HC. I don't think he was ever banned, just blacklisted for a bit. But those kinda things only seem to have a certain shelf life it seems like 1 Quote

Bowman was hired pretty quickly by the oilers (24 days after he was reinstated) and now obviously Quenneville was just hired by Anaheim. But he’s been out of hockey for the last 4 years. 1 Quote

I cheered loudly, half because Eichel got toasted and half because I could go to bed. No clue what Jack was thinking trying to play the most explosive player in the NHL like a defenseman. He had a fighting chance if he turned his back and skated with McDavid, or if he played the body, or if he just tried to stay in front of McJesus, or if he tackled him. But instead he went fishing and his 3 helper night is a footnote on a McDavid highlight reel. 1 Quote

I am not giving up on Florida, but they better win the next 2 at home to even this up at 2-2 otherwise the Leafs will most likely be in the ECF. I don't care who wins the Cup just as long as the Leafs don't. I thought Florida was going to manhandle the Leafs after Toronto once again flirted with a first round exit vs an inferior opponent. I am impressed with how they have played against Florida. The Cats look slow out there and Leafs are all over them. This series is going to get really ugly but the Leafs seem up for the fight this year. I am surprised that Matthews has been so quiet and the Leafs are still succeeding. 3 Quote

eball Posted yesterday at 10:49 AM Posted yesterday at 10:49 AM Just read a nice article in the Buff News about Levi’s development in Rochester. Dude is on a tear, and still so young. It would be really nice if he actually becomes the netminder we need with the big club. Amerks start their conference finals series tomorrow. 2 Quote

He’s definitely had a nice season in the AHL. Definitely makes me excited for his future with the Sabres. But I hope they leave him down there at least another year. They need to stop trying to rush him to the NHL and just let him develop like every other organization does with their young goalies. It would be crazy to rely on UPL and Levi in such a make or break year, especially with UPL struggling this past season. Get a veteran goalie to pair with UPL. Either that or if they are hellbent on forcing Levi into the NHL next year, then trade UPL and acquire a capable starting veteran goalie to pair with Levi. Quote
Gregg Posted yesterday at 01:10 PM Posted yesterday at 01:10 PM I know the Leafs and Panthers has been the higher profile series in the eastern conference, but the Hurricanes are starting to look like champions. They have completely shut down the Caps. Anderson is looking like the best goalie still playing in these playoffs. Whoever wins the Leafs-Panthers series will have their hands full with the Canes who look like they will get past the Caps. Quote

Hmmmmm. It's beyond me how Tocchet is even allowed to coach in the NHL let alone why people hire him. His partner got 6 years, Tocchet got probation AND to keep his job.
