So ! If Hoecht & Ogunjobi got 6 games for PED's and Hoecht's reason was because the person he hired to keep him up on these types of things gave him the wrong stuff and technically was no fault of his own only that he is the one ultimately responsible then that should mean Rice should be suspended for what 10 games to 1 full season because of the 2 crimes he committed right ?

That would only seem fair to me .

What seems fair to you, and what the franchise that has sold it's collective souls to Satan receives for player punishments are two completely different things entirely.

You are aware that's what literally everyone who gets popped for PED's says, right? It wasn't Ogunjobi's fault either supposedly. If they took everyone at their word that it wasn't their fault, no one would be suspended for PED's and the league would be full of Schwarzenegger looking dudes.

With how strict the NFL Testing of today is, if a player puts something in their body without knowing literally everything that's in it or blindly takes something at the suggestion of another person that isn't a team doctor - they're either a.) pretty dumb or b.) flat out trying to skirt the system.

BUT !!! If your paying a person to monitor those types of things for you and in typical modern day form they are to lazy to do their job the way they are suppose to then what . I know a lot of people that have personal trainers that are suppose to know their job because that is their profession and if hired to do that job then do your dam job !!!

Use to be if they didn't do their job the way they are suppose to they were immediately fired, but in this case if it was me and the amount of game checks this guy will be missing out on would deserve a discreet but thorough ass whooping from a guy in a ally with a mask on !! Just saying ...

This is again assuming he's telling the truth. Again, *every* single person who gets busted for PED's has a similar story. Bc of that, no one really gets the benefit of the doubt.

Even if he is telling the truth, he's just as much to blame. You know that there's a laundry list of things that will get you suspended. You shouldn't put any foreign substance in your body, supplement or not, without knowing every ingredient that's in it. Simply trusting someone else, an employee, a friend, whomever - and not looking into it yourself is DUMB!

I can't roll my eyes harder at the "oh it wasn't my fault, it was my trainers fault". You're a grown ass adult. A Professional Football player. In a league where you're being regularly tested. And you're just blindly ingesting things?

This is a funny line.

Not knowing what a PRIVATE trainer is putting in your own body is an absolutely INSANE claim for a professional athlete to make. Maybe 30 years ago that could hold water.

Then again, didn't Ohtani make this same scapegoat scenario work for him? Even with some super bizarre/contradictory messaging out there initially.
