Why is it so hard for fans to admit reality?

You are never going to get a half a pick per game from a QB like Allen.  Mahomes isnt even doing that.

Again I don’t give a rat’s ass what other QBs do, but Mahomes has certainly had seasons with single digit Int’s.  So did guys like Brady.  Excuse me for hoping our star QB can aspire to being even better than he already is.

I guess you're new to NFL.

This happens to good teams every season, it's about grinding/finding a way to win.

The W counts the same.

Why does anyone have to admit anything?

You're being over the top and LAMP

Yeah, I was sitting in the Rockpile opening day 1960 but I’m new to football.  I’m glad they figured it out finally yesterday, but they did not play well overall and they need to be playing better to have a shot.  I hope it was a wake up call.

I know you don't care what other QBs do but it points out that your expectations are too high.  You probably could cut his ints but you are also going to cut his tds too.  The same passes that turn into ints are the same that turn into tds.

It's a joke man.

You're clearly old and depressed.

Our team wins and you create a post like this.

Reflection of one's self and LAMP.

Happy holidays, be thankful for what we have

I respectfully disagree.  I think Josh could end up being the GOAT if he can control the picks.  Otherwise I fear he’s Favre or Rogers, a first ballot HOFer but a guy whose teams could have won more titles if he had been less reckless.

And not depressed in the least.

I thought it would be a tougher game than many thought given teams play hard for interim HCs.  But with our clear advantage in talent we should not have had it come down to a game winning FG with less than a minute left.

Pretty clearly not how NFL games happen these days.  Some days teams you should beat, beat you. Some days, great team struggle against not to great teams.  Hence the lack of undefeated teams - teams ain't only losing to teams they "should" lose to...

Again please do some research

If he continues at current production w fewer than 8INTs/season he would be the greatest QB in history bar none

It's a ridiculous standard

Josh is not Tom Brady and he is never going to be.  He is who he is.  The team around him isnt built to win like that either.  If Tom Brady's receivers fell over and got tackled everytime they caught the ball then Brady wouldn't be the goat either.  They didn't though.  They ran for another 5-10+ yards every time they touched the ball.

I did.  There certainly have been QBs with single digit picks and dozens of TD throws.

And if Josh did what I mention it makes it the best season.  Put several together he could be the GOAT.  I believe Josh has that ability.

The reality is we were lucky yesterday.  Josh was bad Josh until the last drive.  Cook had a pivotal fumble.  The defense let a guy with no experience in the league almost win the game for the Bolts.  The only guy that played really well was Oliver.

Just admit they sucked yesterday and got lucky.  They won’t be that bad every game; I suspect they’ll squish the Fish like Josh always does.  But they sucked yesterday and have too many times this year against inferior competition and that’s why they’re in the position they’re in.

Watch more football. Pay better attention.  Author better posts. Life will be better, I promise!

Again I disagree.  Why can’t we expect Josh to play a little smarter?

If you’re gonna insist that we were “lucky” to win this game, then you also have to accept that we were UNlucky to have to rely on being lucky to win in the first place. The Chargers were the beneficiaries of a string of fortunate events in the game as well.

And there was nothing lucky about the plays we made to win it at the end. We earned everything on that final drive. Pooh pooh it all you want but good teams find ways to win ugly games.

Because Josh is not a dink and dunker and our receivers arent seperator run after catch guys.  They tried that earlier in the season and the offense was terrible.  It got a guy fired.

I’ve said Josh became Good Josh in the second half.  Thank God.

I think the big difference with Brady was getting the run game going.

I think the big difference with Brady is he was precision accurate, and his guys separate and ran at least 5 yards after the catch if not more.  Our guys mostly get tackled when they catch the ball.  This season has probably been Josh best season as far as his guys getting YAC and it still isnt all that good.

QBs have completely different traits.  What Brady had that made him special is not the same as what Josh has that makes him special.

Yes, Josh showed up when it mattered most. But there is nothing “lucky” about great players rising to the occasion, especially when we’ve seen it time and time again from Allen over the years. Luck simply had nothing to do with it.
