So Eichel is like Stephon Gilmore who was pissed that he had to play on a sub-par team for a few years until he could go to a team that actually wanted to win it all, and had the pieces in place to do so.

I hope the Sabres make changes like the Bills did, but right now, they seem like they are about two thirds into the Bills re-imaging process that took them 20 years and drafting Josh Allen. But now the Sabres are just good enough to not get the next Josh Allen.

Eichel has been a beast for us this post season, and after his medical issues, he is only getting better. I hate losing Tuch and Kreb, but Eichel has been bringing it these games in the post season. The hate on Eichel is understandable, like the hate on Gilmore, but he wants to win now, and doesn’t want to wait on a perennial loser to try and figure things out to do so

I have to ask, do you pay more than passing attention to the Sabres? Because to say we don't have our "Josh Allen" when we have Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch and Rasmus Dahlin, and "Stefon Diggs" players like Dylan Cozens and Jack Quinn, and now goalie Devon Levi, is just bizarre.

This latest rebuild has worked. 91 points last season. They have a core group of players 25 or younger who are very good. They still need to improve the defense and there is no reason to think they won't in FA/draft. I mentioned this before, but I think the Sabres in this upcoming season will have the same type of breakout season that the Devils had last year.

Agenda driven trash talk. Dude didn't even know the Cigarette Man from X-files is a character on a show and got bent folks were wishing the character dead because of the Buffalo Bills curse. Now he's gloating that Eichel is having a good playoff; basically he's flubbing the Miss Congeniality tryout. And yes, he's fully ignorant of how stacked the Sabres are, but that's true of a lot of folks who checked out over the last decade.

Plus you have Jiri Kulich tearing up the AHL playoffs at 19. Good vibes all around in just two years.

Florida is outskating and outplaying the Canes in that series. Showing they are clearly a better TEAM right now.

I call that peaking at the right time. YEP

As far as the Sabres are concerned I am thrilled to have come aboard when I did.  To borrow a line from the movie Dumbo "Things are looking up Up UP

I don't know if they are really outplaying them. All three games were one goal games with two of them going into OT. Also, BOB is a big reason why the Cats are up 3-0.

I say that because In Crunch do or die time the Canes have not delivered. In that regard they have clearly come up short . Power plays have been well defended by Florida and the goalie is playing very well too

the overtime record game oh my VERY tough game to have lost

What does that even mean in the NHL? The Sabres and Oilers had a combined 16 years of having a "Josh Allen" player and they have not much to show for it.

FYI: If you have MSG+, the Amerks @ Hershey game tonight and Thursday will be on. No word yet if the rest of the games will be. But you can see Games 1 and 2.

Thanks!

But they have not had a Josh Allen team… the oilers do now. They should probably have won it all this year.

and I said Sabres, not Oilers… Oilers are building something to win right now

I don’t. I’m a football/Bills fan 1st and foremost. My hockey knowledge started when I heard we were getting a team 10 years ago, so I started following the Sabres to help me get up to speed with the game. I got really excited when I knew they would draft either McDavid or Eichel… the players you listed though, is like listing Kyle Williams, Mario Williams, Scott Chandler, Fred Jackson, and Eric Wood…. Yes great players, but still spinning tires

I really don’t. I have to keep asking what icing is

Just understand that the NHL isn't like the NFL. Rookies almost never play. They start in the minors and take 2-3 years to get to the big club. Trades and free agents are part of the process but you have to build your team through the draft first. That's why it takes longer. The Sabres are on the cusp.

I literally started my reply with that. I really don’t. I have to keep asking what icing is, and when it counts

I know a lot of you hate the VGK, their uniforms, Expansion rules, continued success, Eichel, pregame show, warm weather and hot chicks, Vegas in general (one guy even said Vegas was a dying town, lol, what?! In another thread), but when all is said and done, Bills are number 1!!!! Go Bills! No matter what! You may hate me for being a clueless hockey VGK homer, but I love our Bills, and that’s why I’m here.

Has to be the Canes or the Stars to win the cup this season... help needed lol.

These type of replies are why I like to keep responding. Pure bitterness, and for a team not in the same division, conference, side of the map, or rivalry

ComradKayAdams, thanks for all the barf emojis and no replies, that’s almost less than what I bring to these forums

**sits back o enjoy Stanley Cup playoff hockey, a Very entertaining watch no matter what**

@Prospector I am a person who realizes I am not super knowledgeable where the NHL is concerned either. I have found that asking questions has helped and lets others know I am novice.  It is humbling but overall it makes a poster appear more sincere and simply naive than seemingly trolling.

Agreed, but when every post is wishing for Vegas to lose, or their opponent to win, then jabbing back seems fair game

Agreed, and people disagree on the internet with differing opinions, I’m glad we see eye to eye on this

Should I compare the rosters for you for the 20 years before Josh to the teams he was/is on? Or do you think you may be able to look that up yourself?

And who is my main account? I would love to hear this conspiracy…

I am sure any of the mods can back up that I am the only account with this IP or posting style. I have had other accounts, but mainly because I called out Bills trolls or Rex Ryan for being a horrible coach… I may have to report you for throwing out false accusations

Dallas Stars blown out at home.

Pobrecitos 😏 Ugly loss.

I can't bring myself to root for anything Dallas just sayin'

That penalty by Benn was so dumb on his part. I wonder if he gets suspended for it.

Go Panthers...beat Vegas next!

The Panthers proved that the regular season in hockey is meaningless. Sure, you do have to win enough games and get enough points to make the playoffs. After that its meaningless. Top seed or 8th seed. Home ice advantage or not. None of that matter. All year we heard about the big bad Bruins and their 65 wins and 135 points. How did that work out for them.

The regular season is just the warm up for the playoffs. Panthers learned their lesson. You don't blow your wad on the President's Trophy.

After all this.. and I am the troll?! You all are rooting for a Miami team?! What was your second hopeful, the Bruins or Devils?!?! Bunch of pretend Buffalo fans cheering for Miami. Very sad

but I guess this worked for Zerovolt, so hopefully your hate will project us to the cup
