So, Think this was in Winston Salem but it was somewhere in NC...My wife and mother in law were in the same hotel as Dick Vitale and his crew. At the complimentary breakfast he started hitting on her and she said "Who the hell are you?"  went back to her eggs and sausage.

In Vitale's voice: You gotta try the eggs and sausage! Their awesome baby!!!!

It’s a good time to be retired! I think the game I want to see the most tonight is UCLA vs Gonzaga, and that’s going to be on til midnight!

I don’t know how I don’t know anything about Florida Atlantic or how they ended up in the Sweet 16. I  expect Tennessee to give them a drubbing, but that is why they play the games, and what makes this tournament so awesome!

Nowell sets an NCAA Tournament record with 19 assists. On a bum ankle. And makes his shots. That was some classic stuff!

He is really good, the previous game against Kentucky it felt like it was him vs tshiebwe, two amazing college players battling it out. This game was another good one

That kid makes free throws look like gimmes.

It’s like having a running game: it’s nice to be capable closing out a game.

I freely admit I don’t watch much outside of the Big East, so it’s fun to see a lot of new teams and players.

When was the last time Kentucky won anything? He gets top recruits but wins very little for the talent level it seems.

FYI - you responded to someone who knows absolutely nothing about hoops. Running game? Um, ok  😀

But this tournament is too great to ignore. The finality of the one and done format plus the fact that many impactful players will never be heard from again is very compelling.

I’m not going back to look, but I think it was about making free throws helps you close out a basketball game. It’s winning time. Like being able to run when you have a lead in football.

Nowell continues to amaze. He just made what might be the best basketball pass I’ve ever seen. Spinning toward the basket he fit the ball thru a hole in the defenders smaller than a hoop to his guy under the basket. This is pure entertainment!

total bandwagon jumper into the NCAA tournament 2023. But my home city is en fuego with excitement over the SDSU Aztecs

Just getting this far is historic for the program. I've seen them at home play in the past. Friends I know are alums etc.

GO AZTECS~!~!~!!

UConn really crushing it. First time I have seen them this year— wow. Just mowing over everyone.

They appear to have fixed their second-half woes that plagued them earlier in the season. In a few games they would be up big ar the half and then lose.

They started the season hot, hit a rough patch but are now peaking at the right time. That’s the key in March Madness: play your best ball when it matters most.

If Creighton can get past San Diego State the Big East will have half of the Final Four.  Not too shabby. Big IF though.

BTW it's stupid that the Final Four is a week from yesterday and then the NCG is 2 days later.  I get why they're doing it but it's still dumb.

Money, always about the money…..

WTH did I just see at the end of the Creighton game?????

IF a blue jersey touched the ball as it went out of bounds it is a Moot point. But I thought there was a smalll amount of time left on the clock. I wasn't sure HOW they decided the game was indeed over. I will say the foul preceding when the Aztec went to the line was a clear foul by the Creighton player.

The Creighton player also may have stepped over the line before he released the ball on the throw in. Either way I agree there appeared to be either .2 or .3 seconds left when the ball hit out of bounds. Strange call to end it, but it wouldn't have changed the result of the game.

I agree, his left hand held the right hip down. It was real. And I’m a Big East guy.

This was interesting to me. Gene Steretore (sp?) just explained that the black line is still good if you are out of bounds, because it it the edge of OB, but still OB, where the passer was supposed to be.

Charles doesn’t like the foul call. This was a doozy!!!

as a followup in the post game discussion the sideline referees went to using  a stop watch to hit the button exactly as prescribed by rules determining just how much time had elapsed. THAT measurement was what decided the game. NOT what we actually experienced on TV.

Interesting. And hubby says the referee cannot swallow his whistle at the end there either. Because by doing so you actually are penalizing the offensive player. It should not matter the time logistics. A foul is a foul.

NCAA basketball Final Four I WILL be watching ...this is so cool. Everybody loves a winner. They're Soaking it in here in socal it is JOYOUS amigos

GO AZTECS!~!~!!!

Had Texas winning it all in my NCAA tournament pool.  I was hopeful for a while there as they had a strong lead but hats off to Miami.  Heck of a comeback.

Hoping anyone but UConn wins it all, but, unfortunately, I think they might take this one possibly with ease.

I play a lot of basketball. I have a friend who hand checks me relentlessly on those exact plays and it always throws off my balance on the shot. Ironically, he never calls those fouls, but said he thought it was a foul on Creighton there!

Bumperooskie!

GO AZTECS!~!~!!! I'm stoked for this game. Happy either way but their epic run may continue today. San Diegans are muy feliz.  The Padres are in season again and the NCAA's 2023 SD Aztecs Elite 8 🙂

Hope springs eternal.

I wish SDSU & FAU weren't meeting up until the championship game. Much rather see one of those 2 win it than the UCONN or Miami.

Glad they are getting some juice around town! Good luck!

I’m hoping for two more great games tonight. With my Xavier out, I’d lean towards a Big East win with UCONN, but great games are my first priority.

Another way to look at it is at least one of them is guaranteed to make it. There’s the glass half full view. I think it’s awesome!
