PromoTheRobot
The Bills were left out of the NFL's international marketing assignments. You'd assume Canada but we didn't even get that. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-awards-international-marketing-rights-to-18-teams-in-eight-countries Edited February 10, 2022 by PromoTheRobot

Way too much importance placed on division games and it wouldn’t be fair to the team giving up their “home” game. I would also guess there has never been a divisional game played out of country over the years for this very reason. So we won’t be playing the Pats in Germany. In 2015 the Jets beat the Dolphins 24-17 in London. So it is possible.

Probably because of the same reason a dozen or so professional football leagues have folded in the United States.

Unless you are the NFL or CFB I don't see any leagues making it here and that includes the new USFL and XFL.

mushypeaches
We can't lose a home game in a year when we will already have 9 road games. I think that happened to one of the NFC teams last year (maybe Atlanta?) and would be a real competitive disadvantage for us

SF Bills Fan
Bills-Chiefs will be a huge hyped up marquee game that they will never take away from KC. It’ll be a Sunday night game billed as a quarterback duel part 2. A German game would like be a mediocre matchup. I can’t ever recall a gave played in London that was a great matchup. It’s usually something like Jaguars vs Atlanta
dpberr
The NFL keeps trying to make NFL Europe a thing on the cheap. IMO, the OG NFL Europe that was in operation from 1991-2007 would have been more financially successful if they kept all the teams in Germany. The Germans enjoyed NFL Europe and watched the games and grew real fan bases.
Realist
Under no circumstances will Bills Pats* or Bills Chiefs be going to Europe. Those will be 2 of the highest rated games of the year, no way the networks want either of those on a Sunday morning instead of primetime or at least 4 pm. BuffaloBud
I'd be up for this. The Columbus BlueJackets were supposed to play Colorado in Finland this past fall. I was working on going, but that got the covid axe.

Josh Allen has ascended to “must see TV” quarterback status.

I think 5 is the max a team is allowed to have in primetime. Look at the schedule.. home - division plus the Browns, Steelers, Titans, Packers, Vikings. road - division plus Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs, Lions, Bears, Rams Lots of games to choose from. Home potential primetime games I could see Steelers, Titans, Packers (if Rodgers stays, Allen vs Rodgers is must see TV), and the Pats. On the road I could see potential primetime games against the Chiefs, Bengals, Ravens, Pats, and even the Rams for an interconference matchup. Yep- the Bills have a tough schedule and many games that are quality matchups. I’d say Bengals, Chiefs, Pats, Rams and Packers all could be primetime. A flex 5th is very possible
