I offered the name Jill, but that was voted down. Mom, dad and baby are home and doing well, except for that sleep deprivation thing that comes with a new born. The hikers have a very unique close bond with each other for life after something like that. You are correct about the bond amongst the hikers and the sense of 'community' can not be measured. They meet approx. 200 peeps on the trail and there was only one that was ornery.
