Who Do The Democrats Run in 2024?

It doesn't matter who the democrats run.  Biden's poor numbers reflect his performance as well as the public's opposition to the democrat's platform.

The midterms will flip enough seats where the republican's control one and probably both houses.  When that occurs, they will begin hearings on; Hunter Biden, Afghanistan, inflation, Covid response, "insert democratic failure here".  Whomever runs will not be able shed the 24/7 negative coverage, Trump couldn't.

I think the interesting discussion is what is going to occur long term in the House and Senate.  As of today, the midterms will be a generational change from democrats to republicans.  Incumbents are typically hard to unseat and republicans should have a comfortable majority in both houses after the midterms.

Could the midterms put congress in republican hands for the next 10+ years?

They're so desperate, they're actually talking about running Mayor Pete.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

The Repubs have all the ammo they need.  Just keep hammering-home what a mess this admin is and how the Dems are trying to install Marxism.

How many times have we heard the cults new go to term: MARXISM

Nut jobs

PS: the only ammo the GQP have are gerrymandered districts and voter suppression - only way the cult can win

Billstime,

Put down the bong.  Take a deep breath.  Get your head around the fact that, after 10 months of Demented Biden, the GOP could run a bag of steaming dog crap against him and win.  What a mess.

Before folks get all excited —

Republicans should be very happy to see that a generic/unnamed Republican would beat Joe Biden if the presidential election were held today.
Democrats should be very happy to see that there is no such beast as a “generic Republican.” There are only Republican humans with huge negatives in favorability ratings, and those Republicans are either named Trump or they have to publicly and embarrassingly kowtow to Trump to have any chance to make it through the primaries.

Doesn't matter.  People see the disaster Joey and Kammy have been up close.  They have no chance if they run.  Mayor Pete?  LOL!  Might as well not nominate anyone.

Who else ya got?

Who else does either side got?
Right now it looks like both sides have extraordinarily weak benches, the least insofar as candidates who could potentially make it through the primaries goes.

Joe v. Donny II, the thrilla in Manila? I don’t think so.

II agree, because there's no chance Joey's running again.

It's the economy stupid.

Should be their focus if they want to win.  Stay away from Marxism (most people don't even know what it is), transgender locker rooms, and the war on Christmas.

It's the economy stupid.

Demented Marionette  Biden and his communist buddies have botched things up so bad, they should let the GOP candidate run unopposed and focus on 2028.  What a mess.

Best thing for Democrats is Trump. Sure hope he campaigns for them in mid-terms

As someone who spends a lot of time in Atlanta, I’m more concerned about the GA Gov race.

I rather enjoy residing in states where I’m not fearful of lockdowns, mandates and an authoritarian local government.

Stacey Abrams is about as strong as a contender that the Dems can put forth in Georgia and GA Republicans are obsessed with recycling weak, low enthusiasm candidates like Kemp & Perdue that generate zero excitement and make no attempt at going after the black vote… particularly the black male vote in/around the city.

The economy will obviously be a huge issue.  And sure, say "socialism/Marxism" instead, but definitely say it and explain what Marxism is.  Most people don't want it, including a lot of Dems.

😎

81 MILLION VOTES:

I&I/TIPP Poll Stunner: Just 22% Of Americans Want Joe Biden To Run For President Again.

“Even Democrats seem less than enthused about Biden holding the top spot. Just 37% want him there. And only 16% give Harris the nod as presidential standard-bearer, alarming given that Vice President Harris is next in line to be president should Biden not complete his term in office.”

If Biden isn’t going to run again, he’ll have to announce within the next 12-18 months (18 would really be pushing it) to give Democrat contenders time enough to spin up their money machines and ground organizations.

The resulting scramble — against the backdrop of a failed-but-sitting Democrat president, no less — will be delicious.

PROOF THE DEMOCRATS HAVE NO BENCH IS THAT THEY’RE FLOATING THIS IDEA:

Hillary 2024? Given the competition, she may be the Dems’ best hope.

“The Democratic bench is about as deep as the New York Jets’ these days.

Vice President Kamala Harris? She’s at 28 percent approval, per USA Today.

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo? No longer governor and thoroughly disgraced.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.)? He had to spend major time and resources just to avoid being ousted in deep-blue California during a recall election earlier this year.

Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg? Not even 40 percent, and he has a supply chain crisis on his resume.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)?

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.)?

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.)?”

Nothing says “party of youth” like a retread Hillary campaign.
