THE SANCTUARY FRAUD

 

It is remarkable how little it took for Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis to expose the entire “sanctuary city” edifice as a fraud. A busload or two of illegal immigrants and “sanctuary” turns into “NIMBY.”

 

In perhaps the ultimate admission of the fatuity of sanctuary, New York Mayor Eric Adams traveled to El Paso and announced that “there is no room in New York” for any more immigrants. Guess they’ll soon be dismantling that statue in the harbor, then. Although, to be fair, the immigrants who passed through Ellis Island did so legally.

I have no issue with people coming into the country but pay your own way.  But the current administration thinks otherwise.  They dangle dozens of "free" support and assistance programs providing all kinds of no cost services to people in need and then we're all left to wonder why they're flocking by the millions to come into the country.  And at the same time they claim the cupboard is bare when American's need help.

Very few people have a problem with legal immigration. I’ve said it for years, the problem Americans have is with people not willing to wait in line. It’s taught to us as early as kindergarten. It’s ingrained in our national psyche. That’s not true in other parts of the world but it’s definitely true here. No matter how long the line is, Americans do not cut in line! Think about it. What’s the worst offense you can commit in grade school? “No Cutting!” We don’t know why exactly but we believe in our souls that it’s just wrong. What’s the second worse offense? Think about it. “No saving spots!”
