Yup, and in fairness, there were many of us hoping against hope the system would prevail after the Russia debacle, the one that had dem leadership speaking about stolen elections, a coup, and illegitimate presidencies. We pinned our hopes (though many were concerned that it was going to go nowhere) on Durham and AG Barr suggesting that 'what was done to this president was horrific', only to find that career governments insiders had no plans on doing really anything except returning to status quo. Imo it still goes back to mutually assured destruction between what passes for 'leadership'. 1 1

Please go thru with trying to portray some GOP Senators that have every freaking right not to vote to certify the election as per the process of how we vote out totalitarian dictators in this country (lolol) and call it a planned coup/insurrection because a few hundred idiots lost their cool because the GOP ordered them to storm the Capitol. That goes for Trump to. And btw....people are paying the price. The actual rioters. They're dealing with consequences. And then, because the Left is sick, so are innocent rally goers who were there to support Trump, told people they were there because they hate policies that kill babies, start wars, open borders, and raise taxes........oh and have an entire year stolen from them that led to the most rigged sham election in history in the "free" world. The only thing we'll "pay for" in the decades to come is moving the goal posts (Ds do this an awful lot don't they?) on first of all why we impeach, and then what we are going to redefine as "inciting violence or insurrections" or some nonsense. So who gets arrested and charged for the inciting of violence when the next GOP Congressman is shot? Or is it Congressperson yet? My list would be: AOC Jack Dorsey Mark Zuckerberg Sundar Pichai Joe Biden Nancy Pelosi Chuck Schumer Michelle Obama Barrack Obama The music industry Hollywood All the networks CNN Don Lemon Chris Cuomo Edited January 26, 2021 by Big Blitz 1 1

What Trump's second impeachment accomplished already: Fear of being convicted by the Senate prevented Trump from issuing preventive pardons to himself, his kids, his enablers, and the domestic terrorists. That's a big plus. The charges against Trump for his part in the attempted coup are part of the Congressional Record. It's there forever. The trial will provide the evidence of Trump's attempts to overturn the election through illegal means will also be in the Congressional Record forever. Whether Trump is convicted or not, he and his enablers are still liable for criminal charges, and the entire cabal may also be subject to civil suits for damages. Trump's "advisor" Sydney Powell is already facing a $ 1.3 billion civil suit from Dominion.

Trump became the first President to be impeached and then had a bi-partisan effort to convict in Senate. Even if they don’t convict here, it will again be a bi-Parisian yes vote on conviction. The impeachment led the Dems to taking the Senate and the White House. This trial will put the Republicans having to vote if they want to convict and face a primary or vote to not convict and get backlash from independents. If Republicans and primary more moderate senators for more of the extreme ones, then it just helps the Dems in the next election. You obviously think differently. We'll see. Have a nice evening. Ive seen the argument several times that the FBI warned of intelligence of protests and when they didn’t happen it means X, Y or Z. I would think the fact the FBI putting out the statement that they did alone would have been a large enough deterrent. That was one of the issues with January 6. There was no deterrent. Imagine if they warned before the protests they were increasing guards and would take fully prosecute to the extent of the law. That probably alone would have stopped January 6th. The other major deterrent was the arrests. The people on January 6th acted like they knew nothing would happen to them. They operated under a cloak of white privilege (and we’re treated as such on that day) the following arrests would also be a deterrent to any more protests. I think that was also compounded by the fact Trump did not pardon anyone. How many times since 9/11 have we heard we have credible evidence of a possible terrorist attack and then nothing happens? Especially the several years after 9/11. The fact nothing happened does not mean the FBI was wrong about terrorist activities, it means they were able to deter or stop the activity in most cases.
